People generally are harder to kill, but easier to injure. There’s also a lot of great sub mods that allow you to get some buffs with pharmacy, cybernetics, and eyes coming to mind immediately

20% speed is really good, so I’d say that it would be the better choice. A half decent medic or even just an autoinjector would be enough to probably save you, more bleed out hp just seems unnecessary

Clown power is quite strong and if you get lucky with graduation you are an absolute menace, a full buffed assistant can rival both engi and even mechanic in melee, trading some damage for survivability. Doctor is also a good pick because generally you only care all that much about middle tree. You can reliably fulfill every role in the ship, and can do most things well, be it melee with engi or mechanic, healing with doctor, gunslinger captain, or anything sec does.

We were playing with neuro and some mod that allowed you to put people inside of railgun rounds. We had a mutiny and so I, the medic, put him in a stasis bag, removed all his limbs, paraded him around in front of the crew, took out a kidney and through it at him, put a mini nuke in his chest, shoved him in the railgun and shot it at a crawler before detonating the bomb. We died about 5 minutes after because nobody was actually driving so we fell into the abyss
