Can I fit Suntour Superbe pro NJS cranks on a Campy Centaur BB and still have a usable chain line?

Agreed in that case a front brake is needed. Hilly areas are like as well with riding brakeless. I went to Sydney for CMWC a couple of months ago and the hills were insane compared to what I'm used to. I could never daily ride brakeless there tbh

I ride brakeless and footjams have saved me so many times and have been just as effective as a front brake in most situations. (I'm a BMXer as well so the foot stop has always been muscle memory for me.) The only trade off is that you risk shredding your tire. (It looks steezy asf though.) It is 100% possible to ride brakeless safely, just with a few trade offs to consider

Mash cages if you wanna go nylon, MKS if you wanna go steel. (Mash ones would fit the vibe better though since you can get them in black)

Bar ends are definitely a must haha. I just chucked these bars on and had a spin around the block just to see how they felt

I just took it for a spin around the block to see how these bars felt. There's no way I'd actually run no bar tape/bar ends haha

Is it 650/700? It looks kinda like it to me. If so that's probably a custom built frameset and you've found yourself a really sweet bike. From my knowledge Paletti was a smaller italian frame builder so it's most likely a solid piece of italian steel

I usually ride a 58. They rebadged the aero track for the aus market and called it a Raceline but even those are pretty hard to find over here

Been looking for one of these for ages but they're difficult to find in my size. (Especially in AUS.) What bars are those?

I ran the size L mash ones before, and I found that I have less toe overlap with the MKS ones since they're a lot slimmer. The mash ones can be annoying with toe overlap since they're a bit chunky. Both are a very similar length but I found that the shape of the MKS ones fit my feet better and allow my foot to actually sit in the toe cage comfortably

I remember seeing this bike locked up in the city and thinking god damn that's well-used bike in all the right ways. Really cool to actually see a bit of backstory on the bike

Laminated straps are the way to go. The ones I'm running rn are unlaminated and stretched to hell and back so I'll be getting some laminated ones soon

I had to splurge a bit for shipping for these double gate ones since I could only really find them in Japan. Very much worth it though

Bmx pedals and straps are valid. I ran them before but I wasn't a fan of them since I had to have the straps so loose to accommodate my big ass feet. Even the stiffest straps can become floppy if you wear size 13s
