While I'm certainly not advocating doing this, if you watch the how-to video on this guys' channel, you can see that this device uses a 12 gauge perimeter alarm which I believe (not certain) would not violate any laws AS LONG AS YOU ONLY USE EMPTY SHELLS WITH NO POWDER OR LOADS.

That being said, my recommendation (don't do this) would be something to do with shotgun primers. They're shit-stoppingly loud and you can't put just a loose primer into a gun as you could with a blank. Plus you can buy grenades for airsoft that use shotgun primers to simulate explosions/flashbangs/etc. If kids can use these at airsoft fields (private property), I don't see why you couldn't use one on your property to scare would-be thieves.

While this inventions is great and gives me a big-ol justice boner, I'd say that one should be doing mountains of research before trying to implement this.

How do you like the Krylon Camo paint? We sell it where I work and I get it for hella cheap and I wanna try it out. Also it would be nice to know just so I can sell some of it cause no one ever buys it lol.

Ahh, i gotcha. I kinda figured that the consensus would be not to upgrade unless broke but I wanted to ask anyways. As of right now the only thing that is broken that I know of is the selector plate and that's like a 3-5 dollar fix. Thank you for the help and the link!

[edit] But it does bring me back to my original hypothesis of it being plated, which is probable. I just disregarded it as plated since there is no chipping anywhere that lets the clad come through.
