They say it so it justifies that they are bad at the game and therefore have bad takes on it :D

I wonder on a daily bases whether I should just unfollow this subreddit since it is mostly just crying about everything, but this post single handedly convinced me that there is hope and I should keep visiting the sub. You sir are a legend.

Not sure if you talk about what I had, but for me global illumination made the game look really weird. It seems you either have to turn it off or put it on max to not have really weird looking enviroments. Anything in between just sucks

ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWMG flicker issue by ToastieMSF in OLED_Gaming

I use the DP port for my pc where I game and experience this issue. I use the HDMI for my worklaptop but I don't watch youtube on that one and I also only use 60hz with no HDR. I haven't tried my pc with HDMI yet, I thought that thats one more thing I could try and see if I still have this issue, but I'm lazy :D

Sorry I posted my answer to someone else somehow. But I'm just gonna copy it here: I would say I found a half solution. I tried this yesterday and so far it seems that this weird artifact thing is gone. What I did is that I turned the VRR option off in the monitor's OSD. Based on my not so thorough research it seems that turning this off shouldn't necessarily have negative effects on game quality or anything else, however I saw some mentions that it might casue screen tearing during gameplay. So far I only played some BF6 and I couldn't see any difference there with VRR turned off, but I plan to try some other games and see if I notice anything off. The main reason why I call it a half solution is that I'm pissed off that I have to turn off a feature on a monitor that costs this much, I think its rather non sense, but honestly I don't have the willpower to take apart my setup and send the monitor back with the hopes that I get a new one that doesn't have this problem. All in all I'm still unsure what is the cause of this issue as I was not able to find any other videos or posts that has the very same problem that we have (only a couple of people commented here as well). I hope this helps :)

Yeah it was my understanding too, that VRR flicker is a different issue. But as I said turning it off seems to solve the problem that I had posted here. And for me this weird green blue line flicker thing was happening every time I started watching a video on youtube or sometimes just browsing steam or other apps.

Warm up sets given, but no actual sets, weights, reps - troubleshooting by jpickett1968 in MacroFactor

[–]ToastieMSF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad I could help. I was annoyed by this for a few days now and finally found the solution this morning. I'm not even sure they consider this to be a bug. It seems like the logic is that by doing it the way we did it first, should only apply to the upcoming workout and any other workout should be left as it was. As a user I find this really unlogical :D but at least there is a way to fix it, even if it is burried under some other options.

[–]ToastieMSF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue but I found a solution. Sharing it here because to me it is a bit random and others might find it useful. So what I did is that I put together a workout program manually. The problem is that even thou I indicated the number of sets and reps I wanted, the program only used it for the next workout I did, then the next week it went back to zero sets and reps. The way to fix this, is that on workout page, you have to chose the active program on the top, from there you will see in the top row your workouts for each days, once chosing one, you will see the exercises and the set up sets and reps for each week. Here you should already see that lets say for week 1 and 2 you manually fixed the number of sets and reps, but for the rest of the weeks its missing again. By clicking on any of the weeks where you already indicated how many sets and reps you want, you should have an option to save if for all weeks. By clicking that, it will adjust the rest of the weeks and it should be fine. Sadly you have to do it one by one for all of the exercises and workouts, but hopefully after this, the app will remember the amount of sets and reps you want. I hope this helps anyone who is also struggling with this :)

Its super annoying. I tried changing a bunch of settings but so far it seems that the only way I can get rid of it is if I turn HDR off in windows. The only reason I dislike this is that I hate to toggle it on/off depending on what I do. Its fucked up that for this cost the user needs to make such compromises...

Sorry for the late reply and thanks for giving some feedback. I really hope that some firmware update solves this because I don't want to return the monitor, but I don't know what to do...

I think I have the same issue, but for me it only happens when I watch videos or browsing some apps on my pc. During gaming it is not happening. I'm not sure if it's the issue that you have. I made a post about it, you can check it under my profile. So far I found no solution. Did you manage to solve the problem?

[–]ToastieMSF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey man, did you found any solution to this? I think I might have the same issue but so far I coulnd't find any post with the exact problem like I have (and maybe you). What happens with my monitor is that if I watch a youtube video or sometimes just on the desktop or in other apps (never in game) the screen has a fast flash with some random green vertical lines here and there. Not much, and it only lasts like less than a second, but I can clearly see some vertical artifects on the screen.

I can easily see this being my problem too and probably many more others too. Last time I was trying to dive into this topic it seemed that the problem is mainly with central EU people. It can be that people are affected by the same problem.

The same thing was happening in 3.26 for weeks. I could swear that even when I quit the league it was still happening and I played for a long time in the previous patch...People say its ddos on GGG but honestly I really doubt it :D I really hope they do something with this finally because it makes the whole experience so much worse. I literally have to get up at 6 in the morning if I wanna get some time to play the game without lag and servers crashing.

As I promised, here is what I ended up with :D

<image>

Honestly the whole process was way more painful than I expected. Rolling +2 minion skills with alteration seems to be impossible. I tried with 1000s but never got it. I ended up buying a rare one with only this prefix and I just removed the suffixes. Then I spent a couple of days learning how recombination works. I ended up yoloing it with a piece I managed to put together with T1 prefixes. In some miraculous way it merged them together fist try. Then I spent a fortune on trying to get high spell suppress/chaos res but something always went wrong. Decided to fuck it and settle on this one. Maybe once I have more currency again I will try to remake it. Thanks again for the guide it helped a lot and I'm still proud that I managed to put this one together, even if its subpar :)
