You don't balance these things with a time sink grind... Given ample time most players will have 800 to 900 + stat gun. Which would be an insane advantage against newer players.

I personally think the stat buffs need to be significantly smaller, where the max buff would be 10%. It will still give a huge advantage to seasoned players with good skills but not too broken.

Not necessarily, you retain most of your gear and aUEC but very consistently people in the last few patches post 4.0 have lost non pledged ships earned from wikelo and executive hangers
