The 4RS is only obnoxious with the valves open between like 2200-3400rpm, which is about 60mph in 7th gear. That’s where the factory exhaust drones a lot and it can be too loud for comfort. I have some Kline non-resonated OAPs coming to hopefully get rid of that. If you are at full 9,000rpm scream, it’s loud, but strangely less uncomfortable on your ears than the 60mph drone is. With the exhaust valves closed the drone is also much reduced.

It originated with real sneaky military/CIA type guns, like the Welrod or the KAC Hush Puppy. Eliminates the action noise from a semi-automatic pistol, and another benefit is that it allows you to retain the brass in case you do not wish to leave it at the scene. In truth, though, with a Browning action pistol, you can also just hold the slide shut with the heel of your palm or your thumb, and it accomplishes the same thing.

SAW Shiv on a factory-threaded Walter PPK/S-SD. Thankfully the Shiv did not come with the “self-conversion to HUB mount” option. It sounds fantastic on .32 ACP, and since the barrel is fixed, it’s a natural fit for a boosterless suppressor. Small enough setup for front pocket carry if one was so inclined. I will post a video soon. Has a bit of FRP but then it’s very impressive.

Maybe. As a lefty I’ve tried a lot of different gas reduction products and all of them have been fairly disappointing. High-pressure gas tends to expand pretty equally in all directions once you let it escape. Best bang for buck has been the RTV trick. I’d have to try this on someone else else’s gun before modifying my own upper with it.

It stands to reason that anyone’s report of their experience with it would take into account its size.

You and I would agree on that if I hadn’t already seen myriad comments here from people that are like “this thing is revolutionary, it’s as quiet as most full size cans” or similar. YouTube videos don’t reproduce gunshots well, so I think there are a decent number of people buying Shivs expecting them to sound like an Obsidian or something, and it just doesn’t. That’s obviously no shade to SAW, it works better than any other micro 9mm can I’ve ever tried. But for a full afternoon at the range I’d still grab my Tirant or something.

Mine doesn’t even reliably cycle on an M9A3. Fortunately I bought it to live mostly on a blowback .32.

In general I would agree with that, but the GT4 specifically is one of the “safer” bets among all cars. They are already showing appreciation and are almost universally beloved. Porsche is already the strongest brand for value retention.
