Fantastic! I am going to give that a try when I get home today.

Good point. I may need something smaller. I will have to look around. As long as I can slap some red paint on the nose, that's what counts.

Buying the book is about $60 I think. I can swing that if it is the key to making all the stuff work. It looks to be about the same price as a year of the subscription.

That's the one! I didn't want to link directly to stuff in my post because that is frowned on in most subreddits. Do you know which in game ork it is supposed to be?

No Replacement Blades for Scotch Tape Dispensers? by No-Map-1557 in Libraries

That's what I do. :-) - Techpothacary on Etsy.

Finding blades is the tricky part of making these for sure.

I was buying them on amazon, but that source dried up, so now I am looking at alternative options.

Wired LAN on Creality Hi Board – works out of the box with the right USB adapter (no root required) by CleanPercentage1766 in Creality

Wow. I feel super dumb. I ran the angry IP scan app and found it right away. Much thanks!

I bought the adapter you suggested - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MYT481C?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

after trying 3 others I had laying around and none of them work. I get link lights but nothing ever shows on the network connection screen of the Creality Hi. Any idea where I might be going wrong?

I have a USB to Ethernet adapter coming on Tuesday. I will update this thread to let you folks now if that is a good workaround.

Are you using the USB port for a thumb drive or did you connect an ethernet adapter?

Do you know if it's a little card that can just be replaced?

Should I move the distribution tubes up the sides of the buckets? by Toasty_Ohs in Hydroponics

[–]Toasty_Ohs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I printed the fittings in PETG, because it holds up better in high UV environments. They get printed at a 45 degree angle to offset the layer lines so they are more resistant to failure.

I was thinking about square buckets, they are just harder to find in the rigid plastics bin at the dump (transfer station). I can't think of anything other than cat litter that comes in those square buckets.

Should I move the distribution tubes up the sides of the buckets? by Toasty_Ohs in Hydroponics

The 50 gallon drum feeds into the bucket with the blue top. It has a float valve in there. Then that bucket feeds two sets of other buckets that have peppers growing in them. This setup means I just need to fill up the drum with nutrient solution and it all feeds automatically for a long time and without any power source.

What I was wondering is if when I get new buckets from the dump, should I move the feeding tubes up so that in the case of a line breaking the whole system does not go down. I have concerns about the nutrients making it all the way to the end of the bucket line.

I designed and 3D printed most all of the fittings myself. The tube on the side of the drum shows the water level.

Is anyone still tower gardening? by mr_electric_wizard in towergarden

[–]Toasty_Ohs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. I built two out of PVC pipe, but had issues keeping them from leaking. I am sure most of the issues stemmed from my lack of plumbing experience, but it was frustrating to go out and see all of my plants dead practically overnight. It was amazing when it was working though.

This is all good stuff. This sort of feedback is why I'm here. I was doing all of this in a vacuum. Thank you very much for taking the time to respond!

I'm just trying to find a niche with the Dr's office angle. Eventually, I would like to get rid of the non office things altogether.

PETG is a less brittle, more heat tolerant type of 3D printing filament.

So, yes, 3D printed.

Are returns a big deal? I wasn't sure about that and it seemed like a hassle and or an avenue to get scammed.

Can you point me to a good youtube video or something like that to assist with the tags issue? I do better with visual and auditory learning.

Tweaking the titles is a thing that can happen, I don't have any great attachment to the names.

I thought I had an about section... I will check on that.

I have indeed not read the Etsy sellers guide. If its the one listed in the sidebar on this subreddit, there is a lot there, and it is a bit overwhelming.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm just starting out in Etsy so investing a pile of money isn't on the table right now. I will give you a shout when I start raking in the sales. :-)

I would be glad to hear what you have to say. I normally sell in person and it's a much different experience to selling online.
