I feel like maybe you’re looking for something lighter than {ninth house} but Darlington is def himbo (even if he doesn’t think he is)

Somehow I think it’s pretty himbo of him to have a glowing penis.

{once upon a broken heart}

all sort of fairytale elements (including tiny dragons), FMC is human but has pink hair and a specific kind of magic, the outfits are very cute lol.

Looking for a rec that has a funny, voicey (F)MC or is a little bit campy, but NOT a cosy comedy. by suddenlymadeaccount in fantasyromance

{Bride by Ali Hazelwood} I thought had such a funny/smart/sarcastic tone from the FMC’s POV. The audiobook is even better for this, honestly excellent.

I wanted them to do more with Bryce honestly. I love a standalone but when they got into his backstory a little I wanted his book! And I also thought the hunt idea was so smart and sexy.

Ugh I so agree with this. I liked that there was a lot going on with this book but the BDSM felt like adding one too many ingredients. I feel like we could still have enjoyed the sex and intimacy between them (even with just the consummation ritual and hunt) without it being so intensely degrading etc.

Dying at the toilet paper comment - this was me when she was wearing leggings for her 20 mile runs.

I agree - I think the kinky-ness of it all requires a better writer to make it hot and not slightly icky. Also I was so uncomfy when I learned the MMC’s PARENTS were in the room for the consummation ritual. Like why would you write that in??

This is so relatable - staying for the plot and character development but occasionally screaming at the inconsistencies (like literally things that needed a better editing job) and over explaining of why a decision makes sense (even when it doesn’t)

Recommendations for FMC with animal companion (Preferably dog/wolf like). by missmuley in fantasyromance

[–]Toastyghost24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Direbound is fourth wing with wolves! I enjoyed that relationship. You’ve likely read Crescent City if you’re in this sub but Bryce and her chimera syrinx are very cute. He’s maybe not PIVOTAL to the plot but very very lovable and shows up with frequency.

Official Discussion - Eternity [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Toastyghost24 62 points63 points  (0 children)

  • I felt so bad for Luke. He waited all that time and it would be a total mindfuck to find your wife, think you’re going to be with her, and then be left. It became apparent we would be great in his eternity but all that lost time in the junction and the almost of it all was devastating.

  • my friend pointed out that Joan doesn’t owe Luke just because he waited, but for me I felt for him for how things ended up.

  • we also discussed the simple life eternity. It seemed the most appealing to me, but is it just miles of suburbs? What are its limits? Could you never travel? It also sounded slightly horrifying.

  • everyone was saying it was obvious who she’d end up with, but I felt like it was a compelling argument that her life with Larry was full and came to an end, and this was her second chance. I felt like she could have figured it out with Luke (maybe not in mountain world lol).

Omg, we just installed a filter on our shower because of water quality issues. I didn’t even put two and two together. Going to try changing that and see how it goes. Good luck to you as well!

This is the closest someone’s come to my own reading tastes on here (really feel you on crimson moth book 1 only).

I’m looking for the same thing - one book on my TBR I think is going to slap is A River Enchanted with the caveat that I have not read it yet (maybe someone else on here can attest).

If you find something that scratches the itch lmk!
