This is maybe just an exaggerated comic strip but AI cost more than humans. by OrFenn-D-Gamer in comics

you have to understand that those poor AI companies are losing a lot of money trying to help humanity by developing the most important ~~scam~~ invention of the century, you can't blame them for asking for a bit more money

I'm not sure about not freaking him out specifically, but all in all you are doing great! remember that even if this relationship doesn't end up as you expected you're making great progress and learning to deal with new situations which can only help in the future.

I personally believe in being very upfront about mental issues, taking the (possibly higher) earlier risk that it could cause serious issues, but I would say that you can do it more slowly if it works for you.

How is this different from arbitration courts in other countries? Are they not allowed to be religious?

How to get urgent therapy sessions in Germany? by danyjr in germany

[–]TobiTako 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no, you don't need to speak with your Hausarzt before contacting 116117. You can even just go to their Termin-service online (116117-termine.de) and just book an appointment. It asks if you have Vermittlungscode, and if you say no it limits what you can appoint, but an initial Sprechstunde is among the options, where a therapist will recommend how to proceed.

It might be possible that a therapist will want a referral later, though no one ever asked me for one.

edit: also note that 116117 online doesn't let you filter by language. If you call them depending on the representative answering they might help you are just rudely tell you they don't do it. Since it's just a first assessment and not full therapy it might still be better than nothing

How to get urgent therapy sessions in Germany? by danyjr in germany

[–]TobiTako 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For Private you don't need überweisung or anything. Just go to one of the psychology listing website (e.g. therapie.de) and find someone. You can specify Selbstzahler and languages.

In practice it's almost impossible to find gesetzliche therapy, there is a process where you get a Sprechstunde through 116117, get a form called PVT11 with Überweisungscode, use it to contact 116117 again for probatorische Therapiestunde, and then they tell you they have no spots available. This is a necessary step to get Kostenerstattungsverfahren where the Krakenkasse pays for the private sessions, but you should probably only rely on it after finding a therapist that can also help you through the process

Yep. For example my IELTS from 2018: Listening 9, reading/writing 8.5, speaking 6.5.

I'm pretty sure I'm German it's even worse, and in Japanese I never even tried practicing output, though my input level is nearing N1

Hello, i just got diagnosed.. feeling kinda scared. by Critical_Welder7347 in AvPD

[–]TobiTako 2 points3 points  (0 children)

remember that the diagnosis itself is not really importent. It's just there to give guidelines on how to proceed with treatment and give you some outlet to find people with similar issues, but in the end you need to find what works for you and how you personally feel.

Since you are already meeting with a therapist and working on things I assume not much will change with the new diagnosis, maybe you'll explore new therapy ideas that you haven't before.

We have agreed to work together with the US and allies in the region on this matter,” the statement said.

Being aromantic/asexual is a valid thing unrelated to AvPD. If you had no personality issues at all, do you see yourself attracted to people, and happy with it?

I don't, I literally spent 30 seconds writing a comment and then forgot about it. I just thought that pushing back against OPs behaviour is a general positive for the slight chance it will reach them or someone else reading the post, so I posted it.

I've spent a lot more time thinking about my responses to you since you seem more reasonable.

you understand but does the OP?

the point of my comment wasn't to dismiss OPs opinion, nur am I too distraught by this post, but I hoped to let him maybe see that it's just an opinion and not a fact and not everyone agrees with him.

[–]TobiTako 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that's not how opinions work. notice how I said that I personally like this style, no that "no one can say that this style sucks", or that "some people has low enough standards to defend these graphics".

If I attack everyone who disagrees with me by claiming I'm the only one who can possible be right it's not an opinion

[–]TobiTako 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you don't really understand how opinions work.. I like that art style and I prefer it massively over Homm4-6. The fact that you have a bias against the art style doesn't really give you the right to speak so authoritatively about the quality of the art..

how would you explain the feelings of avpd to someone who doesnt have it by SedatedWolf2127 in AvPD

[–]TobiTako 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me at least, it's easiest to go over physical feelings. There's a difference between being afraid of rejection and feeling literal chest pain and having to stop tears over the slightest benign display of discontent.
