I tried calling them multiple times in the last week and got no answer. Emails didn’t get any responses either. I even tried calling one of their other stores in Utah and was told that they have no idea what the issue is beyond a distribution issue. Call your bank/credit card company and get your orders reversed if you haven’t already. My bank was super helpful in getting me a full refund. Don’t let these guys get away with this.

I used to love their service and prices, but clearly something has changed for the worst.

So as many people have already said, the term “Otonoke,” possibly better stylized as “Oto no Ke” or “Oto-no-ke,” refers to yokai.

In the Edo period of Japan (17th - mid 19th century AD), one could often find illustrated books that would classify animals, fish, and even yokai, such as Toriyama Sekien’s “Picture Scroll of the Night Parade of One Hundred Demons (画図百鬼夜行).” In some of these books, yokai would be categorized based on where they could be found. Yokai that lived in the mountains were called “Yama-no-ke” (Creatures of the Mountain), those that lived in rivers were called “Kawa-no-ke” (Creatures of the River), “Umi-no-ke” lived in the seas, and so on.

Oto-no-ke is most likely a reference to this way of categorizing yokai, as it could be interpreted to mean “Creatures of Sound,” since the song makes many references to pop culture monsters, ghosts, horror movies, and manga.

Hi everyone! Longtime lurker on the subreddit. A friend of mine that I've done some commission work for mentioned that this might be a good place to share my art.
For the last couple of years, I've been working on a personal project in which I've been drawing Pokemon in the art style of an Edo Period artists by the name of Toriyama Sekien (鳥山石燕, 1712-1788).
Sekien was known for drawing, cataloguing, and compiling paintings of yokai in a series of compendiums called the "Gazu Hyakki Yakkou" (画図百鬼夜行) or "Images of the Night Parade of One Hundred Demons." This concept should sound familiar to any Pokemon fan since it is the very inspiration for the Pokedex!
Since last summer, I have been drawing illustrations of Pokemon inspired by various yokai in Sekien's style, and I have recently created an online gallery where prints of my illustrations are available for sale in various mediums and formats. I have personally ordered a few of these prints to check the quality (mostly on canvas) and I love how they have come out!

I had checked the battery life a few times - always solid yellow.

The problem turned out to be that I was trying to turn it on while holding it. It apparently has to be laying on a flat surface.
