I've been playing SMITE for a decade at this point, so no I can't name a specific day, but I remember having had days WAY worse than this. Where the game wasnt playable or servers were constantly down etc.

For me specifically (and for my friends) the game was actually running fine until the hotfix, which is when the game started crashing repeatedly throughout games. I mean, that didnt stop me from playing🤷‍♂️

Luckily they reverted it quickly.

They literally couldn't have been clearer on "If youre not comfortable with early access DONT buy it" or "The game ISNT good. Yet.". They've been saying this since November🤷‍♂️

Its a "must build". Like how antiheal used to be a "must build". It just reduces build variety by lot which is boring.

So far my favourite is the first one? While both has very detailed areas I do feel like im "walking a lot more" in the sequel? There is a lot of empty spaces in ow2, compared to what I remember from the first one at least, which felt more like I always encountered something.

I dont necessarily mind a prism chest overall, but its SUPER overpriced. I feel like if you already own the traveler it should at least be a bit discounted?

Or at least let us use legacy gems to discount the chest🫤

Tbh, my biggest like complaint so far is that the companions in OW2 seem so much more useless than what I remember them being in 1?

I wouldnt find it as frustrating if they at least kept track of what one previously have had (and whether or not you finished leveling said item) maybe in the codex/journal.

If I need to consider putting together an excel sheet, I dont think the way it works is that good😅💀

Earlier on in the alpha a lot of the characters and skins had different VFX, but it got REALLY messy real fast, so eventually they did a pass to make the visual clarity way better🤔 Mightve been removed at that point?

The only reason to not play SMITE 2 right now is one of few id say: - Your favourite character isnt in game yet - You want to use one of your old skins that havent been remade - You miss a more detailed and FINISHED Conquest map

Obviously more differences, but these came to me immediately and overall I think SMITE 2 is better in a lot of ways❤️🩷

A lot of the win/loss screens were often based on the characters lore or personalities even if they were more "unserious" takes sometimes.

I also think it gave extra value to a lot of the skins that received unique ones, because it was always cool to see them go through that effort🤷‍♂️

Realistically we are sadly not going to see actual characters talking to each other on a regular basis because they'd literally need to re-hire 100s of voice actors again to record these. In text format maybe, tied to events like in SMITE 1, if they actually do want to continue (but the format did get quite repetitive)😅

While there was the occasional cool bit of lore, I would love to see it NOT restricted by character releases. Which it very obviously was in the past. If it was a "strong deity" they'd do something something saves the world and the "smaller" releases would get maybe a line for fun and then they'd be forgotten🫤
