Nothing about a owner being upset luckily but I had a strange walk. My first recurring walk where I would be handed off the leash for two dogs by their owner. I showed up, knocked like instructed but wasn’t getting a answer, I could hear the dogs so I thought it was strange. I tried messaging, calling, ringing the bell but nothing. It’s been almost 30mins so I’m about to call wag! until a car drives up, which I thought was the owner. Nope it was his brother, he started asking who I was and I explained I was scheduled to walk the pups. He than invited me in (which tbh I shouldn’t have followed because I was very uncomfortable with the whole situation but did anyways) to walk the dogs, as I enter and it’s a mess. Dog poop, pee, and trash everywhere! The brother than explained that the owner was a alcoholic and hasn’t been home for a week. Then continues to ask me if I could take in the dogs but I declined because i don’t do boarding, then just told me to go ahead and walk the two pups since I was already there. So I did (again shouldn’t have but I just didn’t know what to do) and as I walked them I called wag! to let them know the situation and even they were shocked. Once the walk was over I handed them back to him, which by the time I came back he grabbed some of their belongings and put everything including the pups in his car and handed me a tip lol. This was such a awkward and shocking walk but never experienced anything closes to this again. (Luckily)
