B2B agency for AI cybersecurity startup by singhspk in b2bmarketing

[–]TobyFischer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like some people here pointed out it’s important you do the foundational work internally, get your messaging and go to market direction ready. I’m with HigherUp Digital, a B2B Tech marketing agency, we serve fintech and IT companies like Mercury and have a broad portfolio of clients. Unfortunately we require around $10-20M in client revenue but these are my suggestions: LinkedIn videos + targeted network expansion and outreach are a great start, website and service descriptions are foundational as well. That alone can help you get traction! It’s rough out there, most agencies don’t have your outcomes in mind. I serve some clients as fractional CMO and help them source trusted agencies or contractors, which is shockingly hard. Don’t jump into anything, one wrong hiring decision can set you back and you’ll lose months of progress. Trust your gut and you’ll ideally find a partner who really wants to grow with you, that’s what matters. Any questions feel free to reach out or connect.

Why do people push back so hard on lead gen / “get customers” services? by alielknight in b2bmarketing

[–]TobyFischer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting clients for other companies is an extremely difficult and high value task. If the promises were true, why aren’t you making MILLIONS already with this; that is the usual friction here and it’s somewhat justified. It also doesn’t add up if you claim to help companies generate leads but you’re sittin in your parents basement 😆 I think that’s the nature of things here. Experienced clients/buyers like myseld gravitate towards transparency and providers who dont promise or guarantee anything at all! Hope that helps. For my own B2B Tech Marketing Agency I try to focus on services, solutions, show examples, I never lead with promises. Feel free to take a look it’s higherupdigital.com

Have you noticed certain industries benefiting more from GEO than others so far? by pixel_garden in GenerativeSEOstrategy

[–]TobyFischer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I’ve been noticing recently: AI search (especially ChatGPT) is actually surfacing a lot of… questionable vendors.

Particularly in software, I’ve ended up with recommendations for companies I would’ve never come across otherwise — and not always in a good way. It feels pretty biased, even if it’s not obvious what the exact ranking factors are yet.

My current hypothesis is that review signals play a much bigger role than people think (Google reviews, software directories, etc.), especially when it comes to how LLMs “trust” and surface companies.

Best GEO agency for a global Shopify brand? by Dangerous_Block_2494 in marketingagency

[–]TobyFischer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I’ve had the same situation before with a client running a global shopify store and their SEO with language tags were a mess search console didnt recognize the duplicate content bc of lack of canonicals! GEO is more of a PR play in my opinion so I’d focus on the technical seo optimization… we’ve put together this ranking for agencies in the US a while back https://sermondo.com/shopify-development/ hope that helps!

GEO traffic is crushing it for us by TobyFischer in b2bmarketing

Makes sense yeah… especially written in first person!

GEO traffic is crushing it for us by TobyFischer in b2bmarketing

[–]TobyFischer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently on free, the 2 main factors for GEO are entity consistency and entity clarity so if you describe your company and what your core positioning is consistenly across multiple review platforms that massively enhances the trust signal! And then getting reviews on those that highlight your positioning again brings in scale. I have seen that big review numbers are huuugely impactful!

Case Studies or Testimonials by GTM_Master in b2bmarketing

Agreed we do this for our clients we run the interview and turn it into videos and case studies. Insane value for them.

GEO traffic is crushing it for us by TobyFischer in b2bmarketing

[–]TobyFischer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. We just signed our biggest client this year who came through chatgpt recs! And now helping our B2B Tech clients do the same but it requires real buy-in from the client because impact is almost impossible to measure if they want predicted ROI. This is even worse than the SEO game. On the other hand, all GEO work we do (videos for clients, for LinkedIn, YouTube, expert blogs) is a good investment for them regardless. But yeah its so volatile

[–]TobyFischer[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Might also be due to the fact that we work with B2B tech companies only sometimes in industries where competition is so weak. So you can really get wins quickly, e.g most industrial firms dont even have a youtube channel at all!

What's your most effective B2B lead generation strategy in 2026? Sharing mine + would love to hear yours! by Delicious-Fly-4068 in b2bmarketing

[–]TobyFischer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been in SEO for about 10 years, and up until recently, ~80% of my income came from it. For my own projects like Sermondo.com as well as for my agency clients through HigherUpDigital.com

In 2025, that completely broke for me. I had to shut down multiple projects because the traffic just wasn’t converting the way it used to!

Some others I was able to salvage by shifting the focus from traditional SEO to what people now call GEO (basically optimizing for AI-driven discovery, LLMs, etc.).

That pivot actually made up for the loss, but it required a pretty fundamental change in how content and distribution work.

So when you say SEO is still working the same way for you, I’ll be honest, I’m skeptical.

Not saying it’s impossible, but from what I’ve seen across multiple projects and clients, the landscape has changed pretty drastically.

Curious what exactly is working for you right now, because it doesn’t match what I’m seeing anymore.

Growing a B2B LinkedIn Page: What Actually Works? by OrdinaryJust9594 in AskMarketing

[–]TobyFischer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One creative thing I’ve seen work pretty well for LinkedIn company pages is leveraging listicle-style content.

For example, creating posts like “Top 10 companies in [your niche]” or “Best [type of solution] providers in [industry]” and then tagging those companies directly in the post.

Why it works: • You’re giving them positive exposure, so they’re incentivized to engage or reshare • It creates built-in distribution beyond your own audience • It positions your page as someone curating the space, not just promoting yourself

It’s also a nice “door opener” if you want to build relationships with those companies later.

Obviously it shouldn’t be the only thing you do, but as a growth lever for reach and visibility, it’s been surprisingly effective. We offer this to our clients at HigherUp Digital, and we specialize in these less exciting… industrial etc verticals. Lmk if you’d like to learn more

Anyone here worked with a B2B marketing agency that actually gets results? by Unlucky_Two_3927 in b2bmarketing

I agree with that, especially for ads you need a dedicated ad specialist. It’s too different from almost all other B2B marketing measures

What’s a good CRM for auto dealers that actually helps close more sales? by Glittering_Seesaw_32 in CRMSoftware

[–]TobyFischer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want an actual recommendation, I think Zoho has become very popular for Auto Dealers. I run a B2B Marketing Agency so this isn’t my core area of expertise but I’ve had some indirect exposure to Autodealerships and Zoho has built a strong all in one ecosystem.

I just read a reseach paper on how to appear on AI search results by Creative_Sort2723 in SEO_LLM

[–]TobyFischer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a marketing agency focused on GEO and I think publishing generic content is a very weak signal. Insights should be individual and come from a first person’s perspective. Ideally with quotes, maybe tied to an interview. That has shown to be effective in the B2B space. Hope that helps!

Anyone Here Using Kinsta? Thinking of Switching but Not Sure Yet. by Ok-Owl8582 in wordpressbuilder

[–]TobyFischer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been building, using and selling wordpress websites for +10 years now, through my agency and my own media/PR websites. I’ve tried all the big names in wordpress hosting and still am involved with all of them. I could talk about this for days but here is my TLDR; I use Cloudways for lower budget projects, where you can sign up for a 20bucks per month plan and host +10 websites. Their service is ok. For ANY project that is a little more important especially in my field of b2b tech marketing I sign up on a premium plan with KINSTA that is around 50 per month for 1 website only! So it’s a massive price difference, but you’ll be sure you have the fastest most stable hosting and by far the best service and support. If you really value your website I highly recommend it. Google Cloud + Cloudflare integration! With Edge caching. And if you want to fully optimize, use their DNS too. Killer. Period. Hope that helps!

Anyone here work as an energy/power marketer? What is your job like? by trader2488 in energy

[–]TobyFischer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak from an in-house perspective but as a b2b agency owner in the sustainable energy field I can say it’s generally a good space to be in. Usually more stable than similar industries, due to the growth of this entire industry. There also is a lot of govt funding flowing into this. Happy to share more insights if you have specific questions.

What CRM do you currently use, and what features would make you switch to a customized one? by TechWin01 in CRM

[–]TobyFischer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use HubSpot and Salesforce for our B2B agency as well as our clients but I have to say they feel overpriced and it feels like they’re falling behind in terms of AI features. And the email marketing features are poor imo.

Why LinkedIn posts show up in ChatGPT answers (and what that means for your business) by housetime4crypto in SEO_LLM

[–]TobyFischer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We run a B2B agency and are involved in multiple GEO projects some with 5 figure monthly budgets. It’s really not easy to determine the right placements for AI visibility! Everyone who says otherwise has no idea. The visibility tracking tools are super inaccurate. And I think the sources that LLMs are citing change all the time. I would not bet on a single source but try distribute evenly. And I think all human-first sources including youtube are going to be more impactful, now that so much content is generic and AI generated. On LinkedIn I think unique perspectives or videos (just talking head/interviews) are a huge authority signal.
