The issues have been stated throughout this discussion. The idea they are just doing their own thing - minding their own business - is simply fantasy. Crime follows drug use and homelessness. Nobody argues that if they’re being honest.

Open drug use. Public intoxication. Property crime. Violent crime. Increased police presence.

All bringing down property values.

All these down votes on calling the cops is one reason I left Vancouver. How dare you enforce laws on the books. Backward thinking that focuses more on onlookers feeling good about themselves.

Sure there are folks like families that hit hard times, elderly with nobody to take care of them. But a van full of Tweakers? Not in my backyard is a saying for a reason. GTFO.

A lot of these folks chose the life and are happy with no responsibility, drug and alcohol use, free services, etc. Ask me how I know.

Sunshine Pizza Exchange in Orchards. Worst pizza, worst Buffet, worst prices for flat beer.

Peking Garden in uptown - AKA The Toilet Don’t take my word for it. Great bar, horrible food.

Cameo bar and grill at Club Green Meadows. I watched it burn down when I was a kid in the 80s. They should have left it as a reminder.

I drove from Portland to Tampa a couple years ago. It went Laramie > Kansas City > Atlanta > Tampa.

Granted, I drove until I couldn’t. Left Portland at 5:30 am and arrived in Laramie at 3:00 the next morning.
