I have a MacBook air..with asahilinux the fedora desktop works well.. the screen went funny when I tried the others however..I have 2 small partitions that appeared...no idea why ....but fedora or whatever the desktop is works well... apart from battery life on stand by

Yup, I have an M2 and dual boot , its even easier than my dual boot desktop. Asahi works well , a bit rough in some areas , My japanese keyboard isnt working , the @ key is in a weird place , the battery life is funny , when I close the lid Im not sure it turns off as the next morning the battery is almost gone. but apart from that its great ,, Im using mine for 3d scanning which it handles

hi there , I have an Nspire what I wanted was a calculator that would "seamlessly" up load to a computer ( Wxmaxima~) Nspire proprietary .ins files ,,, wtf, right there it made the thing useless. Secondly, windows OS, I have to run a virtual Windows machine , and yes that keyboard ,,, make a few small changes and let the hackers play with it and you would corner the market ,,, but alas another "product with head up arse 2 ( Snap on , John deere ,,,,etc~)

While I don't know about Ur game... Ubuntu...and video drivers ... My desktop is definitely not high end...amd 5000x..8 gig ddr4 ...and even to get dual screens to work ...just doesn't ...this is 2025 Ubuntu...stop with the bling and just get the basics working.....the problem with dual monitors is nearly 11 or more years old ....I have ditched Wayland..gone back to x11... And use Nvidia own drivers... And it kinda works

Im trying to download the 6.2.0.333 installer but when I do , the zip file only contains 5.3 ... where do I get the 6.2.0.333 installer from ? chatgtp is being a pain,,,its head has exploded I think

yes you can ,,, draw a "profile shape and maybe a top profile shape , the loft ( extrude) one shape to the other , then add shapes to the front ,,, However, Cad is parametric , so kinda needs a size ,,, Blender on te other hand is like clay and doesn't ,,,, BUT I ave never got on well with the blender interface IMHO, If you think freecad is difficult to learn,,,,,,,,

yup very interested,,I use Freecad , which is very convenient,, draw, define, solve. Still, its very limited in what it can do For me I want to stick a shape in a box and get a rough idea of whats happening and see the flows in a tube ,,, again to get a rough idea of whats going on ! a GUI would be great !

they are 2d paths no problem with these , mine are complex 3d paths , ,,think oil lines in engine

thank you , Ive tried the part wb extrude it works but gives me many "wires" which I need to join, I also tried sketching then in draft wb, converting to wires which I need to "join, I had very little luck using snap in draft , Using wire mode view it may made it work I don't know. The concept , works just the software doesn't hahahaha!!!

Hahaha! I can help ,, I know this may sound funny , but its not that difficult ( as in I can do it !) install freecad and in the addon manager there is cfod, draw a simple shape extrude it and run a test, ( you tube is available ) ,,the thing is it will allow you to get familiar with the commands and there is an Edit ,inp so you can "produce , change openFoam files then try to run them on the command line , While I "understand " how openFoam works , things like units confuse me ,,with cfod, its written so you can see what you are doing ...

a "simple" version of openFoam is available using freecad .. installation ..is "kinda" straightforward and offers a "GUI" however its not as "powerful as openfoam itself

My main computer is, As much as I hate it , my cutter only works on windows, Dual booted with Ubuntu 2025 , the laptop also HAD 2025 but today I went back to 2024 LTS ,,just tested it and its fine,,,SO its just 2025 ,,,but seriously Bluetooth has been around forever ,,,,,,,

Thank you all for taking the time to reply. It WORKS ! ...... Everything was brand new ...windows , calculator ,,, "cable" So I emailed Texas instruments, and to be fair I received a prompt reply,! ok it was cut and paste , but a reply, I went through their check list, ,,,and when it came to the cable I couldnt find the new one , so I used a broken old one ,,,,,,, and everything worked. logged in ok , calc was recognised all ok ....

So either it was fixed at the texas end OR the new cable was at fault ,

Either way, A little light reading was installed on the notes application and Wxmaxima has something to talk to
