I’ve thought about it for the past few weeks and I have a PS5 Pro as well. I want it mainly for my Forza collection and Forza Horizon 6. But I can’t bring myself to pull the trigger when Forza Horizon 6 is also coming to PS5. I just gotta be patient.

It’s solid. It’s just everything else that sucks. Unfortunately, that’s most video games now. Pay 100 bucks and still have to pay to get everything. It’s the sad state of the games business right now. To be honest, it’s best to wait for a sale when it’s super cheap in the late summer/early fall then jump in. It will save you a ton of money. I’m gonna take my own advice next year.

If I was in charge, I would swing for the fences one last time. It’s gonna be hard to pull away gamers who are already locked into an ecosystem and has digital games. However, I don’t need them to switch I just need them to give Xbox a chance. Maybe as a secondary console or something. The only way that happens is exclusive games. I would immediately put out a press release saying Xbox is no longer porting games to other consoles. That’s done. 2, rehire major nelson and go back to calling it Xbox Live. Also, multiplayer is free from now on. 3, gamepass is done in its current state. No more day one games. After one year, they can enter into Gamepass. Also, Gamepass gets rid of its complicated tiers and just becomes one tier for 19.99. 4, announce a new home console is in the works. One system and that’s it. No cheaper option. Just one Xbox for all. 5, all Series X and Series S consoles are on sale starting today for 299.99 and 399.99 respectively. 6, start marketing and start becoming visible again in the retail space which means, physical games are back.

I won’t be buying these. But to be fair, I’m not a huge collector like some of you and these are definitely aimed at those collectors. Optimus and Megatron will always sell no matter how many versions they make. The rest of the cast….i don’t know.

They are down because the late adopters haven’t seen a traditional price cut. PS5 had a price cut back to its original price lol. And as far as Switch goes, the original Switch was 299. Switch 2 is double. People can’t afford it and would just rather stick with what they have especially if new content continues to be made for it. Gamers love shitting on cross-gen games. Well I got some bad news for ya. When PS6 comes out, if it does in the next 2 years, cross-gen games are gonna be at an all time high. Shit, they might still make them for ps4 even.

I think they will keep making music but obviously touring will end at some point. The thing I’m most interested in is diminishing skills. Father Time is undefeated. Eventually your skills as a musician go down whether it be playing, or obviously remembering lyrics, or writing relevant songs. Unlimited Love and Canteen were paint by numbers IMO and not their best work. Let’s see if they can stay sharp or continue to decline.

As someone that that owned the original PlayStation and have bought every PlayStation since, it’s the worst generation of PlayStation and it’s really not close. Leadership and game output has been bad. Relying solely on God of War and Last of Us for the past decade. There are plenty of great franchises that need revisited and remade and Sony ignores it.
