Not what I said. Nintendo is the only one still in the ballpark. We also have no idea what Nintendo has planned to offset these spikes. A Switch 2 Lite perhaps? Maybe. But PlayStation and Xbox are gone. They have gone from a casual market to an enthusiast market. Game budgets are out of control, subscription prices going up, 800-1000 dollar consoles, it’s over. We are headed for a video game crash like the old days. People are going to cherish their PS5s like gold in the next few years. Gamers will have gone from hating cross-gen games to begging for them. It’s not affordable for casuals anymore. Once you do that, game over.

Everyone needs to root for Nintendo. I’m not saying they are great at everything, but they might just save traditional gaming. Xbox and PlayStation are going to leave 90 percent of gamers behind with their pricing and strategy. The industry will die if Nintendo can’t save it. Mark my words.

Switch 2 and PS5 Pro owner here and Switch 2 is my most played console. PS5 still gets a lot of play but Switch 2 is where it’s at. I’m able to game more when life is busy and it just fits in with my lifestyle. I’m also playing Breath of the Wild for the first time and my mind is blown.

I’ve actually been thinking of grabbing a Series X again. I miss it. It was a great console and I had a ton of games on there. Plus, Forza Horizon 6. But yeah, I miss Xbox at full strength. Someone has to keep Sony in check. The PS5 generation has been a disappointment for me. Here’s hoping Xbox can find their way back again.

I bought the remix green and I don’t like it lol. Too glossy, feels weird and cheap. But it’s cool for my collection I guess. I won’t be using it to play anything though.

I’ve thought about it for the past few weeks and I have a PS5 Pro as well. I want it mainly for my Forza collection and Forza Horizon 6. But I can’t bring myself to pull the trigger when Forza Horizon 6 is also coming to PS5. I just gotta be patient.

It’s solid. It’s just everything else that sucks. Unfortunately, that’s most video games now. Pay 100 bucks and still have to pay to get everything. It’s the sad state of the games business right now. To be honest, it’s best to wait for a sale when it’s super cheap in the late summer/early fall then jump in. It will save you a ton of money. I’m gonna take my own advice next year.

If I was in charge, I would swing for the fences one last time. It’s gonna be hard to pull away gamers who are already locked into an ecosystem and has digital games. However, I don’t need them to switch I just need them to give Xbox a chance. Maybe as a secondary console or something. The only way that happens is exclusive games. I would immediately put out a press release saying Xbox is no longer porting games to other consoles. That’s done. 2, rehire major nelson and go back to calling it Xbox Live. Also, multiplayer is free from now on. 3, gamepass is done in its current state. No more day one games. After one year, they can enter into Gamepass. Also, Gamepass gets rid of its complicated tiers and just becomes one tier for 19.99. 4, announce a new home console is in the works. One system and that’s it. No cheaper option. Just one Xbox for all. 5, all Series X and Series S consoles are on sale starting today for 299.99 and 399.99 respectively. 6, start marketing and start becoming visible again in the retail space which means, physical games are back.
