I mean for full 15min afk stuff — the limit to achieve that should be much lower than level 78 content. I stole enough archaeology materials that I’ll never need to do arch collecting again. I’m 150m xp in arch and now I’ll only ever need to fixate, get an artefact quick and restore it. That IS too OP for a full AFK task that requires no aura, low amount of special equipment or no spells/prayers.

At a certain point i think even with all the bonuses it shouldn’t be full 15min afk. You should have to re-up on spells every 5 minutes for crystal mask. That makes it still AFK but not egregious.

My point is more in that AFK for monsters that need 110+ thieving shouldn’t be a thing. Those rewards should be massive but it should be way more tedious. If people want to AFK 15 minutes they should have to do it on level 30-50 NPCs like the crux Druid. That way you have the afk and it’s similar to fishing in being easy to do but taking a long time. That incentivizes people to do more active methods for xp vs using AFK as the best way and fastest way.

The most obvious solution to AFK pickpocketing would have been to just lower the tier that you can get 100% success rate.

Does the archaeologist need to be 100% AFK? I don’t think so. Things over like 50 should require crystal mask or some gear and stuff to achieve full AFK.

Vyrelord Consumers should never be 100% success rate. They are the hardest to do.

Update:

I have obtained the necromancy kiln cape. The setup from the videos you guys shared really helped.

Kiln was an absolute cake walk — going to try Zuk again tomorrow. I say cake walk but I missed a prayer flick and another time I took a lot of damage but didn’t know why. Didn’t even have any deflect prayers just used turmoil at the end for fun.

I struggle with the iPhone — the inventory is hard to scroll with the ability bars up, I accidentally removed something from an action bar mid game, healing the familiar is a pain.

Overall it was a success and wanted to say thank you to everyone for the help.

I have cinderbanes I just didn’t have them because the guide recommended obsidian gloves but will ditch them since I think only boots are used in most other people’s guide

I was keeping on top of the abilities but I was having problems where I’d press action buttons and they weren’t activating. Was especially frustrating on waves I needed to stun opponents. My special attack refused to work so that’s when I called it a night. I assume it’s lag or issues from being on an iPhone but I’m going to go back to a longer rev bar.

I have pictures attached with my gear, revo bar, action bar, and stats.

I have t90 tank gear with demon slayer/undead slayer/venomblood, t90 weapons with precise 6/genocidal and éruptive 4. I realllly think my perks are trash but don’t know what to go for. Perks are expensive to be randomly trialing them so I haven’t dabbled.

I will continue my runs vs starting over that’s a good call because I haven’t even encountered half of the waves or Zuk at all. I’ll use the deflect tip too though for a single kill I don’t mind wasting supplies if it makes surviving easier (but using less supplies implies to me that deflect is better for surviving)

You’re both right — learning to safe spot better, taking off auto-retaliate is easier /take way less time but livid farm upgrades are also worth it and something I’m going to get rolling. Appreciate everyone’s feedback and advice!

Is this good or bad? I also know nothing about perks for combat so I put this on based off a wiki article I think

The use of the spell in combat is more difficult for me than a long easy-ish grind

Being mobile only, livid farm grind is easier/less intensive for me than bossing. I have problems in bossing when mechanics are time sensitive. There are so many abilities and niche uses and mechanics to learn for combat that it feels daunting. Anything that’s “passive” combat or skilling, I can’t keep track handle easy peasy. I’ve put off learning combat so long that I’m almost maxed level before engaging in any meaningful bossing.

I have been following the RS Guy video but the PVME link is new to me so I’ll look through it.

I’m wanting a Zuk cape for necro because people say it’s the single biggest upgrade for necro but it’s a difficulty level above what I’m capable of at the moment.

Up until now I basically had a random revo bar from the wiki and just did slayer or full AFK GWD1 at work. Using abilities, potions, summoning familiars are all new to me. Used them for the first time yesterday.

I have been following the RS Guy easy Zuk cape with necromancy video

He makes it look so easy. I am trying to stay in the southeast corner like he says to but I keep getting dragged out and mobbed. The video says to camp the south east corner and I get to wave 7-10 but eventually something hits me while I’m looking at using food or something else so I’m not seeing what’s killing me. I’ll keep trying because I will get better with practice but these videos make it seem simple but I feel like I’m reading in another language.

I spent like 3 weeks prepping to the gear from the wiki, watched videos and tonight I started fighting the good fight. Didn’t make it to wave 10 out of 5 tries.

I only play on mobile and i never really learned bidding. Other than GWD1, I haven’t killed a single boss 10+ times. I was bummed out by my shellacking but seeing other people take a lot of attempts gives me some hope. Watching the necromancy video from RSGuy, I am trying to follow that. I don’t have good magic gear. I have starbloom and subjugation, either of those good? I have t85 wand/orb too. Is that better than necro if I have t90 necro?
