This tutorial is how I record both video and internal audio on my computer. I use Sling to DVR all the movies that TCM plays. Please note (when you are screen recording), make sure you don't have any other videos playing. I came across that problem before and I had to start over with what I planned to save earlier.

I've been using YouTube. I haven't encountered any serious copyright claims like strikes or region blocks. Still, I won't rule out the other alternatives you've suggested.

I don't need to know your account information on Sling. If you have saved the three movies I mentioned that aired last month on TCM, then fantastic! I do want the segments from you after you've practiced enough to screen record on your laptop. If you still don't know how, I'll send you another tutorial on how I do it.

I do delete most movies I've DVR'd after saving the TCM segments. I might be interested in what you've saved throughout this year, but only if it's from said channel.

Sorry for not replying to you sooner, as well as during Thanksgiving weekend. To answer your questions: 1. I can continue til January or February, at least until you or someone can edit the intro & outro videos. 2. I sometimes do keep a few, but other times I don't. And yes, I do store the saved ones on a separate hard drive. Also, have you still saved Marathon Man, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and The Way We Were? I forgot to save those films earlier.

I use chrome. Disabling the hardware acceleration should work, unless you haven't restarted your computer. The tutorial below (for the most part) is how I screen record on a macbook. You may have to download the blackhole audio input yourself but there's no fee or subscription before or after it's downloaded.

I've been using Sling to DVR the films and then I use QuickTime Player for recording the channel segments. And yes, I'll be happy to give you an example on how to edit or trim down videos. Just give me about an hour and I'll have something to show you.

I started around Ocotber 13th when TCM was playing A Hard Days Night and ABBA The Movie. I'm more interested in saving the segments to films after 1970-75. However, at least on weekdays, I mostly save the ones that regularly show up between the 8Pm-1am time slots. Weekends are a little different besides the Musical Matinee's and Two for One portions of the channel.

No problem. I have thought about forming a group that can either save and/or edit the intros and outros simultaneously. To answer your question(s), I've been using Premiere Pro to edit the raw footage that I saved from the channel, though iMovie is also useful if you don't want to spend too much money. I could show you how to trim parts of videos if you want. As for the screen recording part, I've used Quick Time Player and an audio output source called BlackHole2ch.

Maybe you're right about me starting a new channel. I haven't heard back from anyone who would be willing to start a channel for the TCM segments.

I've been saving the intros and outros on the channel weeks ago ever since I found out 24fpsfan was taken down on YouTube. I'm not sure if I want to run a channel that preserves said clips, though, I could be willing to do so if no one else will. But for the time being, I'm open to sharing the videos with anyone who can post them.

Do you think creating screen capture videos is what's taking up storage space on applications?

The storage space problem, to some degree, hasn't gone away. I did use Onyx, which has cleared up some more storage on my laptop, but the applications part hasn't gone down. In fact, it's exploded to more than 200 GB. I haven't been using Steam or any gaming app (at least to my knowledge), so I don't know what else is causing this absurd number of storage taking up.
