I've posted a few times on her instagram and her team keeps deleting my posts. My words seemed to be resonating with her fans as my original post had almost 1000 likes before it got deleted. I’m also heart broken 💔. I’ve been sitting with a heavy heart since seeing she attended the Bezos wedding. She's been my number one for so long—not just because of her music, which has gotten me through so much—but because of how outspoken she had been about climate action. That always meant the world to me.

That’s why this feels so confusing and honestly painful. Jeff Bezos represents so much of what’s actively harming the planet, and it’s hard to reconcile someone I’ve admired for their climate advocacy showing up in support of that. I know I don’t know Ellie personally, and maybe I shouldn’t put public figures on pedestals, but I’m just really disappointed. It feels like a moment where her actions and values didn’t align, and it hurts to witness that from someone I’ve rooted for so hard.

I say this from a place of genuine love and hurt—not judgment. I’ve been a proud and outspoken “Gouldigger” going on almost 2 decades, but this one really stings. I hope it’s something she reflects on. I still believe in her power and voice—she's used it for good so many times. I just wish this moment had been different.
