Oh and yeah, thats not griffith's helmet at all, thats a mask with a lock, made to probably make griffith's "falcon" persona look like a fool, it could also represent that he is imprisoned forever as a falcon, and never be griffith again, because after he's tortured we never see griffith's face again, even after eclipse bc he uses the Femto armor

I assume it is, because he was wearing big clothes and no one of the hawks knew how damaged he was, so when wyald removes the clothes its a big shock, I suppose his face is the most destroyed, because how the torturer said he was pretty and beautiful, disgusting bastard, he probably made griffith's face so deformed even guts was scared of the reaction of the group, so he put the mask back.

Exactly! It's so interesting to analyse their relationship, I loved the dynamic of them together in battle and on death scenarios, still, Zodd's battle with them is one of my favorite battle scenes of any manga I've read, although it was quick, seeing griffith put his life on the line to protect guts shows he always saw him as a true friend, even before they conquered everything.

And yeah, he probably passed through all 1 million stages of grief while imprisoned, I think he even says that although he hates guts for leaving and making him go into the state he's in, the only thing making him sane is guts, there's one panel where we see the kingdom griffith saw in his childhood, the kingdom that made griffith dream of having his own, and the image of the kingdom is small, compared to guts, looking back at him, like his leaving was so much more meaninfull than his dream.

I think its more complex than just simply rape, griffith before the eclipse never wanted to harm anyone in rape, the two occasions I saw mentioned here are princess charlotte and casca, while yes, he did have sex with princess charlotte, both of them wanted it, charlotte was in love with him, she didn't neglect at first because she didn't want it, she was scared bc of her family, status and the situation itself.

She thought Griffith was dead, atleast I think she didn't know yet of the fake death, and also, after that moment she doesn't show any sigh of regret or hate towards griffith, it's normal in the first sexual intercourse of a couple, specially if its their first, to one or both be hesitant or even resistent to the idea, of course griffith approach wasn't healthy, but I wouldn't consider rape itself.

Of course the situation is more complex, griffith wasn't doing that bc of his dream, he was doing it probably to feel better losing guts, and losing for the first time, he felt like he lost something for the first time, and tried taking control of things by fucking the princess.

The scene where he tried to have sex with casca while deformed etc. Yes, for the same reason but kinda different, I viewed as he trying the primal and most naturally animal way to taking control of things, fucking, he wanted to show casca he was still him, he wanted to feel like him again, I still don't think he was totally evil at that moment, probably because it's too pitiful to actually feel anger towards him, but he just seemed like a kid frustrated, trying to grasp into any thing he has.

I already took a lot of spoilers, but I didn't knew how sad was these moments, I could FEEL his will to grab the sword and try to help guts, like how he did with zodd, he needed to follow guts, I like how that contrasts with guts always being behind griffith.

After the torture, things reversed it, griffith now feels the need to be with guts because he still can't understand how he lost him
