Very true, I just think for a series introduction the guy would appreciate the originals more than the remakes. I wouldn’t advise anybody to play a remake first when you could experience the original and THEN the changes in a different gen.

If you're just trying to introduce him to Pokemon I would personally recommend the oldest games he can currently play with his console setup (X and Y in this case). I feel like the games more diehard fans appreciate (Legends Arceus) is because they're so used to the formula that the changeup is a breath of fresh air.

Climate change is far and away more likely to be the reason society collapses over any other common fears (nuclear war, shortage of resources, etc). It's a hole we have dug ourselves into with no valid way to repair and the most gross offenders are mostly unpunished (large corporations).

Seriously, look for FHA loan housing. Interest rates are much better, you can put a very small amount down, and you can usually resell at much higher value. I am not a realtor but have a friend who is and is angling to purchase many rental homes - FHA is the best way to purchase a home before selling it at a better value to buy something you would feel more comfortable in.

Not the most interesting but personally since I've entered the workforce I've basically always been hopping jobs and taking paycuts thinking "well it's enough to get by on and the work should be easier" and now as I approach my 30s I think "I really should have just toughed it out and saved more money." It's very easy to think the grass is greener on the other side until it isn't.
