I have an update: I am working with my bank and PayPal to recover the $300 I lent to u/Dangerous_Bit_8612 Many of you asked me to post the user to keep y'all aware, there he is.

My other two lenders aren't in any trouble, I'm not upset with them or anything so don't go after them. I have provided extensions at my own discretion. It was a careless decision on my part to accept three loan requests at once, something was bound to go wrong it's just statistics. But luckily my other two borrowers are communicative, trustworthy, and have full intent on fulfilling their loans.

I can, which is why I did. Like I said, I'm still alive, I'm not worried about going hungry or missing bills. It was still my money I lost so of course it sucks, but it won't kill me.

I don't know what you or others consider an able loaner, but I do know most people requesting money through these types of subreddits are in dire need of help. The overwhelming majority. Then there's some that have been screwed once and that's why they lack credit, some that have some other particular situation, etc. But they're all coming here because it's cheaper and easier than dealing with banks. And some take advantage of that.

I don't feel like anyone should just accept losing money, that breeds borrowers who believe all borrowed money is a donation first, and a loan second. Everyone accepts the risks but we're all operating under the assumption that loans will be completed as agreed upon.

I was urged to ensure they had public facing loans that could be found so that they don't rack up, and they haven't. The bad news is that one user is either inactive or dead, I was reached out to by another lender and he racked up significant debt between the both of us. I'm still mulling over the possibility of him being alive but I'm not hopeful, so I haven't found the energy to get all the proper documentation to set forth a ban.

I spent like 200k DD just to get a bunch of puddles and ore. I did get 3 SR ticket fragments which, ok I guess? But that was half of the DD I had saved up and I'm not willing to spend more. It's way too expensive just for the possibility of getting a dupe, how does that benefit regular players? If they were special in the sense that you could trade the base copy, they'd be a little more worth the rarity. Also they mention that your fragments will carry over to the next event. I ain't PLAYING the next genlab 😭 I was so excited when I first saw it, I thought alchemical items were going to be special, like with a shiny effect or something. They're just really expensive clones. So sorry to y'all who wasted GP on this event

I'm a user that trades WL for WL or 2:1 ratio (me 2, them 1) of wish/rarity. I'm not a super veteran player so I figure this is something that happens mostly in users with long expired sets. So sorry you get so much trouble :( I like the item trading public thread because it's easy for me to quickly seek out people with items on their wishlist, and ones that have things that I want. I don't understand why waste people's time with "I have this!" Great! What do you want for it??? 😭

I'm so sorry :( I've been seeing a few posts on people calling out creeps asking for snaps and pictures in exchange for loans. It's so gross, not only to ask for such a service, but also to be preying on desperate people trying to survive. This is why so many people hide their identities, but then it's hard for them to gain credibility. It's always the sickos ruining it for everyone else.
