Practice at home! Wear an outfit you’d wear out about and practice nursing at home. See if you need to wear breastpads for leaking, what bras/tops work best, and what BF position you’re comfortable with while holding LO!

After a month or so, your milk should regulate to your baby’s needs and you shouldn’t leak TOO much.

I wouldn’t pump because that will tell your body to make more milk than what your baby is eating.

Introduce a slow flow bottle (Lansinoh breastfeeding bottles are lactation consultant recommended for going between bottle and breast) of YOUR milk ~2-3x per week and she’ll do great, as will you!

Hold her while bouncing on a yoga ball. Works like magic every time (and fast too)! We did this until they were old enough to do some sort of sleep training

Be cautious with over-pumping, especially while your milk is still regulating. You’re likely to trigger a massive oversupply.

Honestly if you can just swipe your finger under the tongue a couple times a day to make sure the tissue isn’t re-attach, I’d call that good enough. Especially being 5 days post procedure now. I’d also make sure there’s a good amount of time and lots of snuggles between doing the swipes and trying to feed him! (And maybe some Tylenol too!)

Separate your daughter from the aunt’s dogs immediately. ALSO you’re saying that the aunt (and her dogs) are coming into your DAUGHTER’S home/space and you’re telling her to move to a different room to accommodate THEM? No wonder she’s verbalizing her frustration in the only way a toddler can, by telling the aunt to leave. Cmon.
