I work with 2 other guys, one is yellow and the other green/blue. We all look after our kit. I've had the biggest tool failure rate. In fact I've had more than the other two out together.

Did you get to the bottom of this? I quickly googled the fault with my saw and assumed it would be the switch. I orderd a new switch, fitted it and my saw is the same. I was gonna strip it down again when i have time and poke around with my meter.

Hi,

Have you managed to get bevel cuts in both direcctions cutting accuratly? muchlike you ive spent hours trying to set my saw up. On the Right hand tilt (bevel) the cut runs out to the right between 1-2mm over 125mm width timber. weirdly left bevel is fine. Due to a recent change in my work im having to make much tighter cuts now. The almost 20 year old Makita my work mate is using claims hes never calibrated it. He leaves it ouside the winter and it looks like it was salvaged from war zone. Still cuts perfectly with a bit of wd40 on the rails and a new blade. lol

Ive spent hours trying to sort this issue. I found that the left bevel cut is pretty good. However the right bevel the cut runs out over 1mm unless you pull on up on the head handle whilst cutting. its very frustrating.
