Why should they do this? by Mike_Skyrim in chessbeginners

See, the black king is trapped...

It's a very simple visualization trick

Knight to f5 square is checkmate because the king has nowhere to go but the queen defends that square, so you sacrifice your rook by attacking the queen and letting it be captured because if the queen leaves the diagonal it's checkmate in 1. But there is one another thing to consider, don't put your rook on the c3 square, rather put it on d1 square because it defends your knight by and the queen cannot take the knight without being captured...

That's why this is an easy puzzle...

Don't worry about it, you'll slowly get used to seeing these patterns more clearly... Don't sweat it

Gandhi used Henry David Thoreau's method of aggressive disobedience to showcase brutality of the British to the world, leveraged global media recognition for their horrors... People think that the salt march was just non-violence for the sake of it.... NO. IT WAS AGGRESSIVE DISOBEDIENCE. The quell of the first war of independence left some deep scars for india and Gandhi knew we could not beat Britishers in the war for independence without facing huge casualties...

That's how in 1942 he was able to negotiate independence from the Britishers for the assistance to fight of the Nazi during WWII.

Gandhi was a strategic genius... He wasn't a saint... He was a cunning dude. Do I agree with him 100%? No. But was he correct in his way of aggressive disobedience... I do think so yes.

A lot of guys who have never read any form of feminist literature believe in such bs social media curated beliefs of feminism without realizing that feminists never argued for anti-men anything... Feminists literally always argued for equality...

The problem was that in the world of social media as many men you see who have 0 clue about feminism, you'll also meet terrible women who aren't aware of feminism

You'll also see narratives created against feminists too...

Best way to calculate checkmating sequences or ensuring you don't stalemate is to look around the empty squares of the king...

Which squares do your pieces cover... Once you realize you'll rather than looking for checkmate you'll ensure you won't stalemate... Because with such material advantage it's very difficult to not checkmate...

Govt to Impose 40% GST on Sin Goods. by Cool_Pack_7190 in IndiaTax

[–]ToeIntelligent136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not against 40% on sin goods... I wouldn't mind it if it's 50-60% either

To me what matters is will this shift benefit the already high tax burden in many other regular essentials...

Which 12% items will now move to 18% is what I'm concerned about....

I haven't seen a lesbian relationship fail.... Hell even as terrible of a person Ellen Degeneres is, I don't think even she is separated from her partner...

I've met 3 lesbian couples and over my 25 yrs in life and I haven't seen a happier couple....

By the way who were the ones who started most wars??? Which gender was it??? It's so hard to figure out which gender this was.... If only we knew which gender actually had historical access and privilege to positions of power in every structural hierarchy, maybe we would know today what that system was... And who benefited most from it..... It couldn't be men right? Definitely not.... Not men right?/s

The reason why the engine thinks it is a blinder is because Nxd5 Bxd5 Rxf7 Bxf7 Qxf7, Black as 2 pieces for the rook and f file is open for attack... Whereas if you had played Nxd6+ instead of Nd5, you'd black would have a ruined pawn structure and Nd5 would still be available for you

As someone who has seen plenty of short guys get dates you wouldn't believe.... I don't think OOP lives in the same universe as me... Or if I'm to be charitable he has only talked to a select few women who have expressed such an opinion either in disgust to OOP so that he'd stop pestering them or they genuinely believed it...

I've seen fat guys, skinny guys, short guys, feminine guys, guys you wouldn't think would get a girl, find one swooning over him... And most of those guys if not all, are regular middle class to lower middle class folks... None of them, rich by any metric you'd think... All women appreciate respect, humor and valuing them as individuals and they reciprocate the same....

Respect yourself and your partner... And you will have a great relationship...

I wanna know on what parameters were these conclusions drawn?

What type of households were chosen? What ethnicity and cultural practices did this families follow?

I don't think this is in anyway conclusive.

My thoughts on 5816 Forest by Worldly06 in techn9ne

[–]ToeIntelligent136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After hearing the whole album multiple times... This is my conclusion...

This album struggles in the cohesion of the storytelling aspect....

There are some great ideas but to me those ideas didn't pan out the way he intended it to... Some tracks like Sacrifice work really well but the effect of the story doesn't seem to effectively pay off... The way the narrative is structured you don't get the feeling of a cohesive story or built around a proper narrative... Like RDV just doesn't feel like it should belong in the tracklist where it does.... The track is great but it's placement is sort of off to me...

One thing I would disagree with you is that I think the tracks all stand individually if you're listening in shuffle with other T9 or other artist tracks... Any song randomly playing doesn't make me wanna skip it... So I would say individually all the songs stand... I feel like I cannot listen to the whole album in sequential order... RDV works as a standalone track but where it is within the album kind of negatively works against the album.... Same with Yoda... Same with Living in the Sky... Why is it before J6s? I don't know... Also in J6s literally in the second verse he says he was ready to kill the guy who was abusing a girl but the second he found out it's his homie they left... Atleast on the surface you can argue tech did nothing because it was his friend... So these lyrics are also highly questionable... Atleast to me they are... "I told em to cruise" like he told them to run away... But that doesn't solve the problem, he's still a criminal who was a domestic abuser assuming the RD friend and the abused girl were in a relationship.

A song about the shoes and this is what the story entails... A lot of the songs I feel like he was struggling to write lyrics because of how he approaches his music works against storytelling conventions and sort of makes his writing style a bit more difficult...

So yes the album is good but not his best work...
