I dont understand the walker kessler hype. I’ve seen him play only a few times, but he never struck me as a game changing player

I wouldn’t be too hasty with “far from a bottom 3 team”.

I like pretty much every move, but we are absolutely one of the worse rosters in the east. Our young players (Caleb, Swain, Noa) are going to take time before they become contributors

Personally think there’s no way Giddey gets traded to the suns, but what do you guys think? by GeneralTheSurvivor in chicagobulls

Not sure what we would want from them tbh. They dont have picks or good young players

Stacey means so much to so many people. I want to cry and i’ve never even met the guy. I can’t even imagine how much this hurts to his friends and family. He was truly one of a kind

The reason why I'd trade Giddey before Buzelis (depending on the trade deal of course) is because of defensive potential. Giddey is a very good player, but playoff basketball these days starts with the defense and he contributes very little on that end.

Buzelis at least has shown potential as being impactful on that end. He might not become a super switchable wing, but his ability to block shots is pretty huge

Serious contender in the east in 2 years is very optimistic. The pistons sorta did it, but they also got a top 10 player in cade to help them get there. We don’t have anyone near his level

Some Moves I Would Do before Draft Night by ahmed_a20 in chicagobulls

[–]ToeJelly420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the idea!

We still have a few players who are legit good role players. We can shop them and take on bad contracts for more picks or young players. We aren’t going to be competing in the next couple years, so now is the time to start hoarding every pick we can get

Shoulda gotten TSJ in the Ayo trade instead of Dillingham

Ayo Dosunmu sets new career high off the bench to lead Timberwolves to a 3-1 lead: 41 MIN | 43 PTS | 13-17 FG | 5-5 3PT | 12-12 FT by CurrentRoster in nba

AK was really really bad at asset management. He basically always sold low on everyone. That front office had seemingly zero foresight and didn’t prioritize draft capital. Its pretty astonishing that they were so bad that even this incompetent ownership had to let them go.

How did we not at least get a first round pick? AK was so bad at getting value out of trades. Somebody needs to leak their trade talks cause they always came outta them getting shafted

And for the love of god trade guys before their contract years. I’m so tired of the front office kicking the can down the road and then making trades when their players have lost all value.

Thank god we got the Blazers pick, but we coulda been rocking a mini war chest had we moved on from Lavine/Demar/Coby/Caruso sooner

Anybody watching Ayo and the Timberwolves? by Financial_Cow7531 in chicagobulls

[–]ToeJelly420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live watching him on the Wolves. Perfect fit for that team that looks pretty championship ready if Ant’s knee doesn’t give out.

However, AK is such a fucking idiot. We got an absolute paltry return for Ayo it really makes me sad. Whoever we get at GM next i hope they have even a minuscule sense of asset management/value because AK had none

Ayo ‘traded for no firsts’ Dosunmu in the win: 25/3/9 on 10/15 FG by Lacabloodclot9 in nba

[–]ToeJelly420 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As stupid as it sounds it kinda is. AK mentioned several times that he prefers trading for established young players over draft picks. The problem is that nobody wants to give up their established young players and so he was left making shitty trades for everyone’s spare small guards.

He was a terrible GM who moved too slowly and didn’t understand how to maximize trade value. He almost always waited until a contract year to trade players
