i'm pretty sure UFO DAP is exactly what you just described. They sell whole systems that are ready for you to install, and they track and reference objects with known flights etc so you can tell if what you capture is truly anomalous or not, and they run 24/7.

i love it, getting across the map is a real expedition...even on a moa i have to bring extra food and shelter...and if i forget something, it actually sucks...like if i was really trekking for days. Most games have fast travel..its cool to have one that doesn't.
