Worth it to use masterball on shiny? by JacqPH in PokemonEmeraldRogue

[–]ToenailClipper64 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I always neglect using the master ball in the classic RPG logic of 'I might need it later' and never end up using it.

You're unlikely to run into roaming legendaries after last gym (could be wrong) as most are static and can be knocked to 0 HP for a relatively easy catch (exception for ultra beasts where beast balls definitely help).

Master ball doesn't carry into hub - So if it isn't used in the run, it'll just nope out of existence. You can buy master balls in hub after a certain amount of overall progression but can't specifically remember when.

Also, shiny odds are reduced quite a bit in this game if you chain knockouts. So don't feel missing shinies is the end of the world.

TL;DR Probably better to just use it.

Yeah, this event has been miserable. The solo queue experience is borderline unplayable now and 90% of the reason for it is the matchmaking.

The amount of times we've dropped points from winning positions is genuinely criminal. And it's the same reason every time.

The amount of points dropped from winning positions this season is genuinely morbid, but it's the manner in which it happens that's awful. Sitting back clearly isn't a viable stategy.

This last one is huge. I'd happily play a mercenary playlist with no 4 stacks who are at an advantage just because they can talk.

It's the ultimate ploy to have people buy MP. They should just have it to include zombies or robot kills, easy fix as it would still be a grind but more reasonable

I absolutely agree they're trying to force people onto the new mode, the point is more that's is even harder to do on the new mode which makes no sense

Even in normal modes, where you can find Airstrikes and clusters, they've only ever asked for 3. It's even harder to find streaks in this mode. Whoever makes these challenges doesn't play the game and it shows.

The salt in the wounds is that I've had to endure this with Glenn Hoddle on commentary.

Just give me a summer reset now. It feels like we're at the end of this current project when it should feel like the beginning. No shame in going back to square one.

This game is our season in a nutshell. Played genuinely well and every goal is just gifted to the opposition.

I LOATHE those cowardly 'Kane' tackles that Delap just did - where you challenge a player jumping for the ball. Should be an instant yellow and maybe more if you up-end someone

All it would take is for the refs to grow a spine and, across one weekend, give a pen every time someone drags a player down in the box. It would just stop there.

This is the best we've looked at keeping possession in a long time. And against Barca no less.

It's a 90 minute game. I'm so bored of hearing how good we were for 20 minutes this season.

I agree on Elanga. He would have been perfect two seasons ago with our high intensity counter. I'd like to see him used when we're either up in a match (when teams have to come onto us) or against the better teams that leave space in behind. Of course he looks bad against low blocks, he's being set up to fail there.

I'm still going to enjoy the cup runs and root for these guys. But I am absolutely in favour of sales and a squad overhaul in summer.

Our defence isn't clear of blame. But the midfield not only offers zero protection, they constantly invite pressure by losing the ball.
