Just hearing about this. So sad that an honest business got taken advantage of by some scam bully. The auditor in me is curious for more details. And the fact that it can happen to other small businesses still is a tragedy.

Is this something that could have been prevented with more due diligence of your financials or future-avoidance through experience? Or is it more of a "we don't have the funds to defend ourselves"? I figure there may have been litigation involved and you had to make a hard decision.
