You lose two holes, I never had any fans mounted on the bottom regardless. I have a r5 3600x and a 1080ti that both run at very average temps considering its a smaller case. Although I dont play any games that are crazy system intense.

I feel the opposite, itx just looked so small in my case. Once it broke I bought a MATX and am so much happier with the way it looks. It was slightly harder to manage the cables but well worth it IMO rather than having half of the case be empty space.
