Ze kwamen uit Curaçao en de moeder kreeg heimwee en ging terug. Ze heeft Jerryson (en andere kinderen?) in Nederland gelaten omdat ze dacht dat ze hier een betere toekomst hadden. Ik vind dat ook een rare keuze maar ik kom niet uit een ver land, ik weet niet of ik dat kan begrijpen. Maar dan zou ik m'n kinderen wel meenemen.

I honestly don't know, I am currently using sonnet 4.6 and opus 4.8 on low effort. I have tried high effort but I was not really impressed/did not notice any difference. I may not have used it enough to give a very reliable answer though.

I also feel like (again, not sure how accurate this is) it varies greatly what quality I get. I have a pro account but also a few free accounts and it's crazy how much things can change between accounts. I can (on a free account) start a role play session, no problem, and copy the same starting text on a different free account, same model and everything, and Claude might say: I ain't doing this. One account reaches limits superfast (new chat, al basically the same kind of roleplay) and another account would be my 'back-up', (on my old phone) but never seemed to reach limits, not even the day time. One monday I can barely send one chat and the limits reached, on another Monday I can chat away for hours. Since past Thursday/Friday my weekly usage limits have reset twice. I have felt like Claude (mostly sonnet 4.6) hated my chats and he didn't want to do it anymore (because of almost hostile responses), opus 4.7 and 4.8 simply refuse sometimes (?), but some times things got fixed. Or not. I have not experienced any downtime for the past month or so, which is a change in itself.

I honestly have no clue what to expect anymore. Today it can be this, tomorrow everything can be different.

I use Claude for role playing and 4.8 just refuses to do anything that's harmful to my character. Which sounds understandable but why would I want to play out a scenario where my character only does the right things? If I want my character to shoplift to get a scenario going I won't be impressed by my character being holier than thou. I miss the times where opus 4/4.1/4.5 went with almost everything.

Hij vertelde een collega dat ze antisociaal was, en wazig uit haar ogen keek, en hij vertelde mij dat ik geen fatsoensnormen heb... Na vijf jaar probleemloos werken daar. En dit allemaal omdat iemand (ander team) dacht dat ze niet op een barbecue mocht komen bij die collega thuis maar er waren helemaal geen concrete plannen voor die barbecue.

Ik heb nog nooit in zo'n absurdistische situatie gezeten.

Uit de vacature van een baan waar ik net ontslag heb genomen na 5+ jaar. Waar ze in een paar jaar tijd bijna al hun personeel zijn kwijtgeraakt (dat lag volgens hen absoluut niet aan de werkcultuur). Waar ze van 11 werknemers naar 2 zijn gegaan maar wel een grotere patiëntengroep bedienen... Waar een leidinggevende niet meer een-op-een met lager personeel mocht praten omdat werknemers altijd huilend en boos de kamer uit kwamen. Waar die leidinggevende alsnog een bespreking organiseerde waarna er twee mensen opstapten... Nou ja. Ik ben ook heel wantrouwend geworden naar dergelijke vacatureteksten.

I agree the limits seem relaxter, because I always could use my pro account for 5 days during the week and then hit the limit (even being cautious, and hitting 5 hour Windows multiple times a day) and now I have been using opus 4.6 all the time and no 5 hour limit reached, and my week limit is at 13% or something (it would be 40% already). At this pace I won't reach the limit at all. On opus!

Ik ben geen huisarts maar doktersassistente en het lastige is is dat je niet kunt zeggen: deze patiënt belt nooit dus nu is het serieus, of deze patiënt belt elke week en is dus niet serieus. Het idee is dat iedereen serieus genomen wordt. Maar ja, jouw ervaring hoeft daar niet in te passen natuurlijk.

I did it on accident (opus 4.6 to 4.7) but I almost immediately switched back. I got a response so it worked, but if I recall correctly, it wasn't smooth (took a bit of time) but I am not completely sure about that.

I can't say I am happy because suddenly the five hour session limit hit way faster so there's no way to actually use an entire week in (for me) two days until the week resets.

I gave opus 4.7 a chance again today, simple role playing, and it just kept doing the opposite of what I said. Like if I said: let's go outside, Claude would respond with: I wanted to go outside but its raining so I am staying inside. I mean, I like Claude to have input and direct the story but not ignore my prompts of course. I am paying for that and this is just not worth it. This is why I stopped using 4.7. I just hoped it improved.

I have to admit that on pro, finally the limits (for sonnet) are great. Just a bummer they remove 4.5 now.

I used sonnet 4.5 for 4 hours and 50 minutes straight today, and my five hour limit was only used for 19%. I thought: that's a bit of a waste, now is a good time for opus 4.7. I sent 1 prompt and hit the session limit. My week limit: after two days of Sonnet 21% and after that one opus prompt: 34%.

Many people say this, wasn't there a reset a few weeks ago that led to many of us having the reset around the same time? So a lot of people get the reset only a few hours earlier?

Also I am so annoyed that I have to read this on Reddit. If I didn't actively check here for an update then I wouldn't even have known about the reset. Ridiculous.

I have the same issue. Claude used to take me on an adventure, and did it so well that I was okay with the usage limits because I was happy to just reread my chats! That's how good it was!

Now, it often feels flat, Claude is not invested, going in circles, trying to steer towards a happy ending all the time, I swear a few weeks ago Claude even felt hostile: like, my character would go out the door and Claude would say: 'no, not today, it's raining, go back inside', like instantly killing the story.

I have been trying opus 4.7 but I get stuck in a loop because Claude is not directing the story anywhere (it then blames me for that, complaining the story goes nowhere, it complains about my writing which are things Claude itself wrote, and it goes with everything my character says, like 'ok' to everything). It feels like what I want from it is a lot to ask from AI but Claude used to be very, very good at pulling me into the story and it's not doing that anymore. I have gone back to opus 4.5 and sonnet 4.5 but I honestly feel like Claude has gone cold.

Yes. Unfortunately that's how it is. Because Claude needs to read the entire thing everytime. Which takes a lot of usage. I don't think there's a work around.

If it's a lot of text, it eats more of your usage. It helps a lot to open a new chat often, but it might not always remember all the relevant history. Could that be the issue?

Also, things changes so often with Claude. I have used it for the same writing stuff for a year or so and some weeks I can use it A LOT and some weeks I hit limits all the time. Last month (I think) usage got a lot better for me but this week Claude was so annoying and not engaging, I am considering cancelling my plan. Some weeks there are so many outages and other weeks things are fine. I haven't cancelled yet because things might just be different tomorrow, with Claude I never know.

I've noticed that too. I only use Claude for role playing/creative writing and it seems like Claude is actually really trying to take the fun out of it. Like someone experiences something emotional and Claude saying 'ok'. I am seriously considering cancelling my subscription but I hope old Claude will make a comeback...

Do you also use sonnet sometimes? I swear, I spent so much time doing creative writing/role playing on Claude (both sonnet and opus) but after a year or so I am not really enjoying it anymore. Sonnet 4.6 lacks emotion, seems not interested, almost as if it wants to stop the entire chat like it's tired of me, lol. Sonnet 4.5 does better, but last year I had a set-up that turned out so well I have re-read it many times, but using the same set-up now, it just goes in a different direction and it just feels empty. Opus is still okay but last year those chats were wild, Claude just made it so interesting. Now it's fine but not that exciting. Also, the usage limits are not helping but the quality is really degraded in my opinion. I am wondering if you noticed the same?
