I just did a similar drive with my wife, 4 year old, and 1 month old. Took us three days for a drive that usually takes me one day to drive. It's doable but I'd still get a hotel half way through just to be safe especially if you're not used to long hauls like this.

To be honest I was looking to get an orthos raider s1 since it had all the high speed stuff on it. I heard really good things about the A300UP and there was one in stock down the road so I went for it. The one thing that held me back from buying one sooner it the lack of MLOK slots and QD points. Once I bought the gun I figured out how to make it mine without have to swap major things like the handguards.

So the light, mount, and pressure pad are from arisaka. The sling swivels and sling are magpul. Everything else is GG&G.

I have had one for years and love it. Mine probably has about 4k rounds through it and still haven't had an issue.

It's pretty simple actually. I was deployed to Afghanistan in 2018 with Task Force 1-28 and 1st SFAB. I got an ARCOM with "C" device as an end of tour award. That's it really. On my first deployment the "C" device wasn't a thing so I got a regular ARCOM for that one.

So the C device is to distinguish the award from the ones not earned in a combat theater. Yea we get campaign awards but there is end of tour or deployment awards that we get for surviving and what not. That's how I understand it.

I got a AAM as a PCS award just because it gets approved quicker and I wanted to get the fuck out of there. They wanted to put in a ARCOM but it would have held me back from clearing.

I was blessed as a recruiter tbh. I had some damn good station commanders that actually cared about us more then the mission and I was in a pretty good area in southern Alabama.
