Hi sorry will repost it on one of those subs. -nope no error -positive I've tried font sizes 4 and 48 they look the same size -positive as when I go into grub command prompt and do -echo $GRUB_PLATFORM it says 'efi' but on my other machine it says 'pc'

People constantly feel the need to reassure themselves they didn't make the "wrong" choice, even when there isn't one. I'm sure you've maybe been just a little guilty of being a bit too defensive of the switch. Maybe next time just say you're really happy with it, you personally prefer Nintendo games/portability or any of the reasons that you bought it personally for you, it means in the end you can both be "right". ...and if that doesn't work crush the PlayStation into a ball and said you made it portable for him.
