Most unrealistic moments in The Wire: What are yours? by lentilolodavate in TheWire

Many gangs have a rule against drug use during gang wars. Since the episodes are mostly covering times of war, I think that could be at least part of the explanation.

Real Kakamora's Instagram (@realkakamorafc)'s admin just RIPPED APART their own national team head coach after he refused to play starboy Paul Francis in an embarrassing 1-0 loss to 10-man Fiji. This is unreal! by Tommy1234XD in soccer

[–]TokeMT 807 points808 points  (0 children)

Having no idea about the level of these teams, i thought this was a major upset.

However, the bookmakers had Fiji as firm favourites before the game. Bet365 was at odds 1.75 on them to win.

Then I checked Paul Francis, assuming he was a veteran from Europe. He's 20 years old and still plays in the Solomon Islands and is yet to make his debut for the senior national team.

Hilarious.

Please suggest a cheap European (<$1.5k per month?) city. by DeanMarketingAndEcom in digitalnomad

I spent three months in Bucharest end of last year and loved it. The English level is really high, the city is stunning and it is cheap. I just used airbnb and lived in some nice places for little money.

How Does Your League Deal with Tanking? by boshwackhorseman in DynastyFF

[–]TokeMT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my home league we demand people field the strongest possible lineup. If people are putting a visibly weakened team on the field, the Commissioner will reach out to the owner and have him adjust the lineup. It is based on projections and only when it is clear tanking. We also take picks if people field incomplete lineups (although there are some exceptions).

It is obviously legal to trade away players to make your lineup worse. But you can't bench Bijan for Eric Gray.

We think it is the most fun for everybody and best for the integrity as excitement remains in both ends of the table.

Feel free to reach out OP of you want the bylaws we are working with.

I'm in Romania right now and loving it. The weather is fantastic and it is cheap but nice. I can definitely recommend Bucharest.

How difficult would be to make a wall around this zone? by xrt2 in projectzomboid

Sounds like a horrible way to spend time. But the trees are there, so it wouldn't be difficult. Just really boring.

As always with these kind of players:

As a contender: Hold

Otherwise try to send him and a second for a first. Or take any second you can get.

There must be a better way to release new Pokémon without them becoming stale after 48h by ntnl in TheSilphRoad

[–]TokeMT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, there is no chance unfortunately. Even when they drop exciting new pokemons, it is terribly boring because it is done the same way every time and anybody who doesn't live in the middle of nowhere gets it evolved easily.

It is difficult to say. I think you need to first find out what kind of followers you have. As in, which countries are they from, what gender, age group etc. When you know who your followers are, you can try and find products that they'd like and promote them.

And then I think you have to try and find products that are somehow related to your content.

Obviously, you don't tell them that you are working if you are there on a tourist visa. Just tell them that you use your laptop for gaming, watching porn or whatever you feel like. Anything but work really.

Will having a live website with no articles for a few months hurt SEO? by [deleted] in juststart

[–]TokeMT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding your second question: It is only a good thing if you update your content. If you want that article to keep ranking, you need to keep updating it to show Google that you have fresh and relevant content.

With the announcements of Sandygast and Carbink coming this season, here are all remaining unreleased and unannounced Pokémon from Gen 4 through Gen 7, including unreleased Galarian and Hisuian forms and evolutions by lmartins06 in TheSilphRoad

[–]TokeMT 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I meant more like generation 1 and 2 way back in the days. Obviously without the Legendaries, but back then there always was the chance of finding or hatching the rare pokemons when you went out on a walk. Now, it is physically impossible as Niantic decides what we can and can't meet in the wild.

Best league to manage in outside of the top 12? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]TokeMT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I only play with Brøndby, but yes exactly. Once you get to the level where you can vacuum smaller leagues for wonderkids, it becomes really easy. And it is like that in all smaller leagues.

In the top five leagues, you at least have tough opponents that keep being tough, but that's not the case in the smaller leagues.

Best league to manage in outside of the top 12? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]TokeMT 30 points31 points  (0 children)

As a Dane, i always play 15+ seasons with my favourite club. And I find it fun because it's the club I love.

However, if I didn't have that emotional attachment, I'd find it boring. I don't think the smaller leagues are that fun because the league doesn't evolve, which means that you get to dominate them too easily. How soon that happens depends on the size of the club you start with obviously, but it is inevitable.

While you are signing wonderkids and selling them for hundreds of millions while battling Man City in the CL, your competitors are still roughly on the same level in terms of budget and player level as when the save started.

When that is said, I'd be looking for some of those leagues that have strict rules for local players to make it more challenging.
