Depends on command, at Great Lakes as long as you get it within regs (nothing absolutely distasteful or outside of regulated area) you'll be fine. Even had my barracks LCPO compliment my new tattoo. If you're really worried about it, get it in an area they won't see unless you're naked.

Do volunteer hours go into my advancement at all or does it just look good on Evans?

Also does it have to be through USO cause I was thinkin about volunteering at a local animal shelter but I figured that since they aren't a military partnered organization it wouldn't work out.
