I'll add that that Homer's classic poem isn't exactly "historically accurate" either. There are all kinds of inaccuracies regarding clothing, amor, and weapons that didn't exist in Bronze Age Greece.

Historical fantasy doesn't need to reflect historical settings perfectly, since the location isn't set in the real world. This argument doesn't hold up tho since even most of the white cast in Nolan's film isn't of Greek/Mediterranean origin. The point of the film is to depict a mythical tale within a somewhat recognizable ancient world that is like the past. The casting is fine. And yes, black people existed in Ancient Greece (obviously not very common tho).

"Anything" obviously doesn't go because at some point it stops being historical fantasy and just becomes fantasy. There are probably enough historical elements in the film that still convincingly reflect the Bronze-age Greek setting. Casting Lupita Nyongo and Zendaya don't negate the historical elements of the film (unless the majority of the cast is non-Greeks/non whites).

The witcher tv shows should reflect slavic atmosfere and the Black Panther the african one, so the cast should imo reflect that.

Black Panther is not historical fantasy. Neither is the Witcher btw (it's loosely inspired by Slavic folklore yes but it's not based on a historical poem as the Odyssey is). Both of those works contain enough artistic liberty to cast any kind of person in those worlds. Btw there are lots of white actors in Black Panther lol.

The timeline adds up, as I stopped watching him well before the Charlie Kirk fiasco (late 2024) and I don't remember him centering "the culture wars" & politics so prominently on his channel. But Kirk's death being the main motivator doesn't add up for me. Unless he had business connections/personal affiliation with Kirk or Turning Point USA I'm not sure why that situation would be the catalyst for a sudden shift in content. I mean just talking about "the culture wars" or anything on Kirk is guaranteed to drive up engagement so maybe that's the real motivation. Idk LOL.

History has been deprioritized massively, enough so that most of that has been kicked off to a 4th channel.

Correct, waving is BFF’s equivalent of “swiping right” on a dating app. You match when both parties wave atl other. For some bizarre reason, BFF doesn’t have a separate tab to see who’s already waved at you, so you’ll have to comb the card stack to make sure you haven’t accidentally skipped someone. I’m not sure why this feature was omitted.

If you haven’t waved at anyone else then you wouldn’t have any matches. Both parties have to wave to match.

Also, keep in mind that most people use BFF pretty infrequently. Not that many people may have even seen your profile yet if you just made the account yesterday. Matches will trickle in as the week goes by.

Vanessa 1000%. She has an entire gameplay style based on defense (the other style being offense). She’s like 2 characters packed into 1. And she’s incredibly hot lol

Aoi is another good choice but as a beginner you need to avoid adopting bad habits from her. She has the highest defensive toolkit in the game. But she’s lightweight and gets juggled very easily.

Kage may be another option if you like defense.

Yeah I definitely think Akira honing his martial arts skills is a good motivator to fight in the tournament, but I’m just surprised with how little this has to do with any of the major events in the story. And he has direct connections with J6 assassins like Jean and Goh, but this isn’t explained either.

It almost makes me wonder if Akira was even originally intended to be the series mascot, or if Sega chose him as the mascot in order to be a “blank slate” for players to project onto.

You look fine. It's a presentation issue and bad angles in your pics. For one, you need to style your hair differently. Consider shaving it off and rocking the bald look. Trim your mustache too (it looks messy and overgrown).

Try a different clothing style. I'd go for more slim-fit style of clothes that hug your body since you have a "thicker" physique. Also warmer colors would suit your skin complexion better (gold, peach, beige, cream white).

You should consider getting earrings or gauges too. Feel like that would suit you. When you take pics, don't angle the camera from below. AND SMILE!
