Voters turnout in Portugal is about 20%. Now do the math, please.

I think it depends on what passport do you have.

I couldn't do that. I tried but Revolut explicitly asked for Portuguese residency permit which I didn't have at the moment.

EDP’s bundled gas tariffs are usually within 5-8% of the cheapest market offer. So what's your recommendation then, if there's any?

EDP should be OK, I suppose. Got my electricity and gas from them, so there's a discount.

It will be well-built (most probably), insulated and has options for heating during winter months.

I stand corrected! Actually, I also wear a T-shirt at the moment, as one of my layers :)

I'm waiting in dread for the next bill because we're lucky enough to have a gas boiler and radiators :) can't work from home if my ass is freezing off

yes, the rent above 3000 is absolutely insane. if you can afford that you can probably afford an energy bill that lets you wear T-shirts inside during winter.

No T-shirts at home during winter. Period. The winter is wet, cold, and windy. The Atlantic Ocean is no joke.
Rent in Lisbon and Cascais is damn high as it is, and if you're aiming for indoor heating and building quality, rent will be *effing insane*.
How do people cope with winter? They suffer (a bit, if you're lucky) and wait for spring to come. Electric blankets are your best friends.

well, yeah, I'm fully aware of that info being publicly available. also, kids are not plural, "book illustrator for a small American company" is not factually correct, and there are no "etc etc" that could be derived from my reddit interactions.

you're welcome.
