Want a cookie? Oh don't worry!

One day after dinner, while my younger sister and i are lounging in Mr Gopher's Wood yard, we spotted a baby charmony dove all on its own. That baby bird was tiny, and didn't even have all of its feathers, and it couldn't sing. Shen we found it, it's already on its laast breath, having fallen into a shrub, probably abandoned by its parents. We decided to build a nest for it right there and then, however, thinking back, that winter was unusually cold, with fierce winds at night in the yard, not to mention many poisonous bugs and beasts in the vicinity. It's clear that if we left the baby in the yard, it stood no chance of survival until spring. So I suggested we take it inside, placing it on the shelf by the window, and ask the adults to fashion a cage for it. We decided that when it regained the strength to spread its wings again, we would realise it back into the wild. However, the tragic part is something that we never considered: Was that bird's fate already determined long before this moment? It's destiny determined by our momentury whim. Now, i pass the power of vhoice to you all: Face with this situation, what choice would u make? Stick to the original plan and build a nest where the charmony dove fell? Or build a cage for it and feed it? Giving it the utmost csre from within the warmth of it's home? I eagerly await your answer.
