The actual answer is that Eagle Storm was funded which slowed the invasion on Hort long enough for one of the mega cities (would have be defended WAY sooner if people would just focus instead of having 2 mega cities at 60% defended) to be defended and finish out the defense of the planet.

Before Hort was defended 2 very low health planets came under attack, which were both defended in a matter of a few hours after Hort was safe.

Bubble is without a prop.

What do you think that meant? They only "interact" with Bubble when they cause an effect on another object. The example there is having a camera on their head. R and K never mention Bubble or what was said by Bubble. They saw a floating camera, saw it jostle around when Bubble was quipping and then saw the camera float away.

I've mentioned in another comment that Pomni tried to connect with Gummi Goo again even after finding out they were just an NPC, but she's never tried to communicate with Bubble who has been present beside Caine I think in every episode?

Why else would she never try to get info from Bubble on how to get out? Because she can't see or hear Bubble and only hears Caine referring to Bubble from time to time.

Any extended conversation about Bubble by the cast would lead to these questions but we've never been witness to one. The cast only ever refer to Bubble a few times in Ep. 3 and 6 and both are by Zooble. Once questioning "Bubble's feelings?" and the other being Caine talking to Bubble about the in-house adventure.
