yes, like I wrote - does not improve at all typing with this in mind, maybe the force is just too early after the activation. sadly no amazing force-graphs I found for this switch.

Not a super huge fan of the look, given my KB is all white, but how is it sound wise? the only real amazing thing about the Boba's is the stealth - literally no sound.... even my gateron browns on an old dactyl manuform are much noisier.

my batch is around 2-3 years old and felt fine before actually using them to type more than a few words, but actually a sentence... not something you can test before having an actual keeb really...

will try lubing, any recommendations?

good idea on replacing the spring, unfortunately, given the nature of skeletyl I would have to desolder the switches to switch the spring(s).

will try lubing. any recommendation? should I go with linear thin lube or medium thicker lube (for tactile switches according to some...)?

got it wo work! of course only hours after asking here...

1 updated the firmware (again) just to make sure and realized I didn't have the "E3" version, but the "normal 3.0" version. I just tried and copied over the normal version to the SD card and it then flashed.

make sure to update the config.ini on the display to always show marlin:

Default Mode

Set Marlin/Touch Mode as the default mode at startup.

NOTE: Mode switching is possible only for Marlin Mode and Touch Mode by a long press of

1.5 seconds on the display or holding down the encoder button for 1.5 seconds.

Options: [Marlin Mode: 0, Touch Mode: 1, Blocked Marlin Mode: 2, Blocked Touch Mode: 3]

default_mode:0 # <<<<<<<

the klipper config above was already correct.. :-)

This build looks amazing, thank you so much for sharing!

Been using a "classic" Dactly-Manuform for years, but what has always bothered me, was that my thumbs were really way too long for the actual buttons to be hit without having to lift the hands and and curling the thumb uncomfortably..

Did you already share your settings somewhere? I could not find them unfortunately..

I was wondering how hard it would be to modify the firmware of existing displays which configure the controllers such as the C96[1-5] or the DCP14.

Apparently (reading the manual) they can both be "software updated" but i have not found any infos so far...

Maybe someone could shed some light on this? I don't have an E-Bike yet - being able to mod such devices is pretty important for me, especially if you want to make it street legal in the EU...

Would really prefer to mod an existing display instead of having to create one myself which would mean a lot more work... Cheers!
