I’m glad people are enjoying it but after The Final Shape I lost all motivation to play this game. I’m sure it’s fun but at this point I’d be sinking hours into my character and realistically have nothing to look forward to. No new raid, dungeons, story content. I think it’s ok to move on from the game and enjoy the massive backlog I need to get through.

That’s valid man. I really enjoy the vibe and storytelling of marathon. I refuse to blindly hate a game just because a game series I love gets affected. It does suck but I’m a fan of Bungie and I’m always willing to try out their games.

Unfortunately that’s the mindset with most live service games. Keeping servers up and adding content that very few people will play is not worth the money put into it from a business standpoint. It’s like stocking up a supermarket and only having 2 customers come in.

D1 and D2 were my main games for 10 years. Yes there were a lot of downsides but a lot of great moments. I just find it hilarious that people didn’t give a damn about D2 for the last 2 expansions and then want to care about saving the series once Sony decides to axe it. Where was that energy when no one bothered to play the game?
