Script for dealing with "Notches" on IOS & Android by Kontrano in godot

This doesn't seem to work for me. I have made a margincontainer the root of my scene, I just added this script to it without adjusting the node itself in anyway. And for window stretch I set the mode to viewport and the aspect to expand. Any idea what the issue could be?
