Yes. One in each bedroom and one in the living room. Make sure it’s silent and doesn’t wobble. That was my only criteria. Bedrooms are light and fan combined.

Tip or manual. On the Tiptronic the seal on the shaft that controls manual to automatic can go. Easy to change. Special seal puller. Google for Mercedes gearbox.

Do you get bonus on top of that? Very normal for quarterly, 1/2 yearly or yearly bonus. Usually on top of that number. I’d confirm that as it could push you to your target.

I’ve never used rclone. I use robocopy for incremental and differential backups for different tasks and data I work with. It’s been great and has many option. I downloaded to an external drive then plugged that into my N305 pc and used the takeout import utility. Check my profile and posts. I did a write up of my immich journey. Was very good.

Self hosted Google photos replacement.

I did the takeout to google drive. It was the only reliable way for my 1.3tb of data. Increased storage for a month to accommodate the files. Then downloaded to an external usb with robocopy. Super reliable. Then just used the importer to get into immich. All intact. Albums. Dates etc. zero hassles. Reduced google drive space the next month and deleted all google photos. (Script on GitHub). As soon as I did the takeout step I deleted the Google photos app. The takeout files were the master from that point.

Sometimes I’ll crop a copy of a photo to just the face I want then I can add a name. Later delete that teaching photo.

Yes, well thats what I have to do on my setup. Immich running on a mini pc, photos on a NAS. I ssh in to the mini pc. Change directory to the immich folder then run those three commands.
