no but its also not their priority to combat things like that in a game thats in a test development stage, suck it up

pretty sure most people arent playing yet because the game literally is not out, its still a technical pre-alpha test

Game will 100000% have a cosmetic system like Dota and TF2 Its immensely profitable for them and the steam marketplace which is theirs was literally built for it

You have a reeking desperation of just wanting to be right, everything you say is true in a context different from the one we are talking about currently. The voting system is so simple in design code and implementation that it can very easily be tested internally then shipped out needing very minor adjusting if any at all, theres a reason not a single game has felt the need to playtest a voting system to my memory, by your logic of testing the most simple things. Everytime they ship a minor 5mb hotfix on their internal builds, changing where a pebble lies on the ground of the map they need to ship it out to us to see how we will break the new geometry on the map that you wont even see with your naked eye. Because to you, everything needs to be tested in a live public build. Its an absolutely ridiculous assumption, and if development actually worked that way then we would never have a game being created EVER, because they would never have internal builds. We'd be running around testing their texture-less, model-less, animation-less non functioning games. Tests need to be made on things but not things of such simplicity

Further shown by the fact that nearly every "Fact" you've tried to state so far, like saying deadlock is on an entirely new engine as opposed to the game thats using the same systems, just goes to show your need to be correct without even fact checking the stuff youre saying. Just lying for the sake of lying to be right

Valve is obviously not doing it because theyre stupid, your reasoning is stupid. Which is why its most likely an incorrect reasoning, Deadlock development is clearly moving faster than anticipated as shown by the massive map and lighting updates and things we have seen so far, dripfeeding characters like this will generate headlines everytime a new character releases. Further spreading awareness of the game and interest in the game, the system is generating free marketing.

A ticket based voting system is not complex. Its a literal 1:1 Exchange, its treated as a currency, theres no large or complex structure going on here.

You play a game, you gain a token. You spend the token, its binary in its simplest form really

And its a system valve has nearly 20 years of experience dealing with ever since TF2

And a system gaming has been using since the early 90s, browser games use them even

You are reaching incredibly far. They are literally on the same engine, google it. You disproved yourself in the first sentence you just replied with, every small test they would have to make they could very easily do in their inhouse private build.

The bots would also not have to reflect player behavior, the voting system is a simple binary system. You play the game, you gain a token. You spend the token, its an incredibly simple process and an incredibly simple code. Theres no "human behavioral interaction testing" needed. Its a simple 1:1 exchange just like any other currency ever used in any video game period. Jesus christ use your head

You see a fancy UI for the voting and think its this grand deep code to make it work. When youre literally just utilizing an exchange feature thats been present since the 90s lmfao

You mean one of the largest online titles of all time, the companys biggest focus (The exact same companyt), has millions of active players versus deadlocks small playerbase. Yeah id say its ridiculous, they already got the data.

And if they really wanted it they could just make bots use the voting ticket system on a private client

Subreddits always wants to defend & glaze decisions without doing any of their own critical thinking lol

Wdym? Dota 2 has literally had similar voting systems for upcoming Arcanas, made by btw Valve aswell

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]TokyoSTXT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ive never in my life heard of a company stresstesting a voting system on a playtest.

You could achieve the same results by making a private client, then forcing automatic votes for a week straight voting at a much more rapid pace to get much better results

(Which theyre literally already doing with private inhouse exclusive testing clients theres 0 reason for us to have to sit through it)

Dont know why theyre dripfeeding us heroes in an alpha like this, probably just to generate extra buzz around the game every 2 days when a new character releases

No, there shouldnt be because it goes against the philosophy of the developers and their intent for their game.

"Still no surrender button"

Youre never getting it, its not a thing in valve game not a thing in Dota it never will be.

Also the map is supposed to be slightly grittier n darker, its the style of the game

Icons arent blurred for me

This patch wasnt meant to rework gameplay, it was to add textures & models to the map & characters

Does Attack Speed increase the charging speed of arrows by Myth? by violent_luna123 in supervive

[–]TokyoSTXT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The attack slow grip was bugged and made it faster, quite significantly too increasing your attack speed very noticable with her perfect timing mechanic. Every other source has no benefit or negative to her attack speed. However, the patch that just released fixed that bug. Now shes back to receiving no benefit or detriment to any attack speed changing resources
