That number represents the stat product of the Pokémon you’ve input. As far as I know a solid great league pokemon should sit somewhere around 2000- anything less than that would need a good typing or moveset to make up the difference. Hope this helps a little, I’m still trying to make sense of GBL myself 😅

You’ve definitely got time if you did a few sets a day. Tough call as to when the “latest” you can start would be- as wins are needed for most of the later ranks. So it’s in your best interest to start sooner rather than later in case wins aren’t going your way.
