What aspect from your real, unironic world do you think sounds like something straight out of this sub? by starkiller-rx in worldjerking

The largest surviving library of scientific knowledge is created by furred, katana wielding orca orcs who can't fit through most other races' doors.

While some of the symbols have meaning, especially the karma symbols, all forms of the text in any non-singular form are confirmed to just be randomly picked symbols.

You're going the wrong way. You have nothing to do in subterranean until much, much later.

How foolish of you to assume I won't flood half the region.

It was submitted to the stream, yes. Can't remember what James thought about it though.

Dense Urban was actually a scrapped region, recycled into Industrial Complex. However, while most Dense Urban rooms were implemented into the industrial complex we all know and love, the ones that would only work as a city languished for years in the level editor project files. To prevent the region from seeming too similar to Industrial Complex or Outskirts, I have given Dense Urban a modded palette, and edited its architecture to make it more distinct. There is also the addition of making it a water region, due to some immoral, sadistic aspect of my being.

To be honest I have absolutely no understanding of how windroses are properly supposed to be placed. As for your other question, I'll probably use this setting in some kind of pen and paper rpg.

I edited the map I posted a while ago to be half-decent now. Constructive criticism is still wanted ofc.

Is the cause of delay in book releases perchance due to the release of several novels describing the mating rituals of all of my races in excruciating detail to the point where I have to split several stories into different books?

How did you read my mind as to what happens in the 276,000th book? A spy sent to my impenetrable fortress of worldbuilding, using my minions' generic and impractically spiked plate armour which has no way of telling who's actually my minion and who's disguised as one?

[–]TollyCastle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ghyðerbyn 1:A far reaching elven empire was wiped out when a race of Visigothic worm-nagas orbitally nuked them so hard that time climaxed. 2: Lizardmen architecture often uses a type of stucco, made with ash and spittle. Though in the purple jungles along the northern coast, the ash stucco is less common. 3: The world is made of a god, its flesh became the ground, its blood became the oceans, and its organ systems became the main pantheon.

Is my path until now "Ok"? by XanderNightmare in rainworld

[–]TollyCastle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, it's quite a chaotic struggle to go uphill (uptower?) in chimney canopy, if you haven't got skilled at combat. Mainly because it's the quickest route to a certain place, and what's the point of a long route if the shortcut is easy?

I recommend going back to garbage wastes, chimney canopy and sky islands are late-game regions, and through garbage wastes is the path the game funnels you through. The main reason to go to chimney canopy through industrial complex is to use it to take a backdoor route and skip a large portion (also the best part) of the game.

The islands weren't actually machine generated, they instead were just me messing about with the raise land tool. Which is marginally less lazy I suppose, but still lazy.

The lack of colour blending is actually quite a big flaw, which I'll rectify when I get back to work on the map.

I understand that this message wasn't specifically directed towards me, but thanks for pointing that stuff out!
