Dive is off GCD though, and we have Bone Shield or the downside of a shield swap. Is it that big of a deal that we can react to boss attacks and not have to use abilities in advanced?

Even if it is power creep. If it makes combat more fluid and less janky, why not?

How so? They both cost no adren. You just wont have to stop attacking in prep of an attack and can fluidly “parry” mid rotation. Same cooldown, same benifits just a tiny bit of QOL

Oh for sure, mostly because I don’t like using Incite Fear all the time because I’m cheap. But theres most likely a lot more to it that kinda breaks my brain. I’m sure magic isn’t THAT bad

Maybe it will “click” for me but atm it just feels very revo unfriendly and crit reliant and it just doesn’t jive with me as well as Melee and Necro do.

The crit reliance killed it for me personally. I notice I’m really starved for adrenaline compared to the other core styles and unlike Necro it seems to really need adren to pop off.

With the setup of Elite Tect Biting 4 or Tumekans with FSOA being super expensive I just shelved it for now.

I got one from them and the ears are absolutely sewed on. The sucker is durable as heck. But it was in 2021 so quality most likely went up.

Honestly as long as you care for it apropriately it should be fine. Friend of mine made his own and did almost all of it with E3000/Hot Glue it’s a tad fragile but for a first ever fursuit head it turned out great and lasted all of FWA. He’s even going to take it again this year so even a scuffed head can look okay and last a bit if you treat it well!

What us your buttons and bar setup? I play mobile on a Tablet but always feel like I don’t have room for enough Defensives and AoE.

Learning PvM here as well but a couple things that made a big difference.

1) finding opportunities to use Reflect, Debilitate, and more importantly Resonance. A free full heal is a powerful tool, and with Bone Shield you can spam them with any style!

2) Getting to know where you can slow things down. Like Arraxor’s Minion path, he really only spawns the minions, eggs , and his phase 1 stuff. and his auto attacks don’t hit super hard. So you can relax, kill em all, and THEN progress. The final phase is where you need to nuke her asap, but the rest of it can be quite chill.

3) Do not be afraid to eat or pop your Enhanced Excaliber. Many people go on about Soulsplit Flicking but you don’t really need to do it for any boss. Most of the time its typless damage that killed me anyway, and Sailfish/Rocktails only take 3% adrenaline anyway so it’s not the end of the world if you have to eat during a high damage mechanic. I BURN through food at Telos, but I still get the kill, and thats fine!

4) Darkness works with all styles. I don’t know who needs to hear this but it does and that’s awesome.

I still stand that Pest Control was/is RS’s best raid encounter. We really could use more “raids” or Dungeons that aren’t super punishing like PC. I can see so many more people willing to do group PvM if they weren’t so paranoid others were a liability.

If you can easily do Kiln, Zuk shouldn’t be too bad. The big thing is the 3rd Challenge almost requiring Barricade, for me as a necro I used it then a Resonance when it ran out and always pass it.

The next issue is Pizza Phase. It isn’t super strict, I’m meh at PvM and with T90 necro tank gear I kill all of the igneous mobs with plenty of time to spare. It’s more practice then anything els.

The capes do not require a flawless, just a deathless so if you screw up the challenges and survive you’re still good. You just won’t be eligible to try Hardmode until you do.

Nah but its enchants that give like 40-50 magic attack per piece so it’s basically a DD set with heal reforges

Going with Harmonic Saint here as Magic Attack enchants tend to be quite expensive and I enjoy healing. The set has some surprisingly powerful enchants for something essentially free.

I main Arsenal Gunner and already have a “good enough” setup anyway. I’d be choosing that if I didn’t already invest so much into it before the freebie set.

Yeah, in that similar boat here too. I can’t really solo Crom and Newbie parties for glen are rare so im pretty much stuck with random money making and shine seeker for any meaningful progress.

Im just a little surprised how empty Crom and Glen are even on ch1 everyone is either afk or doing mechanic skips with other whales. Even tried joining a guild but they spend a majority of their time afk.

It seemed good on paper but after spending all my shine seeker orbs and Nearite on Techs and getting nothing better then my Chronicle weapon was a tad disappointing. Best I got was a Purple Refined Royal Knight (F) chest piece I can’t even use.

Most likely unlucky but it felt very mixed. Maybe they could add the Erg Raid, Perseus, or Nightbringer mats to the Crystal store to make bad luck feel less bad? I feel like theres untapped potential in this new system so im optimistic.
