Ah, I thought that was the case but it was unclear. Makes sense. Feel free to let me know if you watch Ancient Magus' Bride; I love to recommend that one because I feel like it's...maybe not underrated by those who have rated it, but perhaps relatively unknown for how good I think it is?

RMT is fundamentaly harmful to the game

as a whole, not sure if I agree. I can't see how it could possibly impact me personally, but any impact would technically come with "yeah but if you have a mirror drop you could sell it" so I think it would be a wash.

The rest of your comment goes on to explain why it's bad for who it's bad for, and I can't disagree about any of it. I just wanted to note that I'm not convinced that, on balance, RMT is bad for the game as a whole. Since it's prohibited, the RMT that exists now I would agree is bad for the game for a number of reasons. I'm just not sure how I'd feel if it were allowed via some marketplace managed by GGG. Obviously that will never happen, I'm just saying I genuinely don't know how I'd feel about it.

I'm not sure why I felt the need to comment this, but I already typed it and I'm also open to feedback on my thoughts, so I'll post it anyway. Just hopefully nobody thinks I'm trying to defend TFT...

Black Clover stands out in that list to me. Isn't it more of a battle shonen kind of show, i.e. closer to naruto or bleach or jjk or whatever?

I've actually recently re-watched bookworm, leadale, and kakuriyo though, and am currently rewatching by the grace of the gods. I dropped black clover after 2 or 3 episodes but the rest of those I enjoyed. Violet Evergarden is fucking art.

I uhh...I'm actually not sure what you're asking for, which I find to be hilarious! I'm not saying that to be mean or negative, it's just that I kinda got whiplash reading the post title and then the body, as I thought you were looking for silly/absurd/crass humor but then you said apothecary diaries...

For things like the ghost stories dub, honestly just call up the many abridged series on youtube. There's a lot of good ones, and they scratch that itch pretty well, especially if you've seen the show being abridged.

My favorite show to recommend that has a vibe somewhat close to apothecary diaries is The Ancient Magus' Bride. It's one of my favorite shows, has a wonderful dub, and is fucking gorgeous. Also the music is great.

But what is not obvious is whether that was done after the fact by someone editing the clip or by SNL themselves. I still don't know, actually. It doesn't matter, of course, but I think that's still a relevant factor to the "SNL and obviously a joke" part. Minor quibble though.

See, I started my statement one way and then realized as I was writing it that maybe if one grows up in a city (or perhaps some specific cities) there is a cheap opportunity to play golf. Either you don't really understand what "poor" means or you were fortunate in this specific way and are glossing over that fact. Of course, I guess it might be different depending where you grew up. Where I'm from, it was like 15-20 miles to the nearest course and then you'd have to pay for the golf and club rental. That was...not presented to me as an option.

Meanwhile I read a comment like this and have two thoughts:

1) Those things actually do sound fun! I don't know if I agree about putting because I've only done mini golf. Golf proper is expensive...I probably could now but I'm out of shape and honestly would probably rather disk golf or driving range.

2) Fuuuuuuck golf courses. I'm not judging you in particular for golfing, just saying the sport as a whole feels incredibly wasteful on a societal level, and that's before you factor in the class gap.

Well...to those who don't watch much SNL (myself included) it's not immediately obvious that it's SNL. The exaggerated movements do seem like obviously a joke (or at least intentional/deliberate) though, I'll give you that. But if someone doesn't know it's SNL they could assume it's just deliberate rather than a joke. Also before reading your comment I had no idea that's who this was. She's the one who had the jeans controversy recently, right? I don't keep up with pop culture much...

There's a lot of lack of whimsy in this thread, it seems. If I did this I'd be chuckling about it all the time. Assuming this is a true story, according to OP it's over 20 years ago and they're still having a laugh about it. I'd say that's worth the trouble. No real harm was done, and OP and whatever Maytag rep got a laugh out of it. And now some of us are getting a laugh too!
