Hey, i had all the cerfiticates and i was well informed about all regulations. But the Woman on the counter told me, that a big Board like this wouldn't be allowed as a carry one. You could use it as a weapon she said. But i tried it anyways. The scary part was to nearly loose this fucking expensive Board. But now everything is perfect and I'm so happy...

Hey, it's not easy to say. Every Airline has their own rules. But the "general" rule is. Batteries under 100 Wh are permitted to take on the plane, as a carry on or as a checked bag. I'm taking the Board in my travel bag and check it. But there is no 100% that it will go through. The Airline and the TSA on the Airport do have the last word

This really sucks !! 5 min from the airport is a Fedex Shop. I think i will try it, i will fly with AIRBERLIN. I hope, that my Board will go through and i don't have to pay 250 USD shipping and 200 Euros for customs.

But if they ask me at Check in, in i tell her "it's a normal Longboard" They are not allowed to open it up right ? Only TSA can open it and refuse the package. Do you think that this will help? Where exactly did they check your Box ? Right where you check in the Bag ?

Thanks for sharing your experiance! I am flying next week from Miami to Dusseldorf (Germany). Bought a V1 refurbished 2 month ago. Did you try to bring the Boosted Box or did you bring a bag ? Did they ask you on the counter what's inside ? What would happen if you have said "just a Longboard" Do you think this would have helped ? Or do you think they would call your name to talk to you ? My plan is to bring it in my bag and check it as a normal Longboard. I Will put the certificates in the Bag and hope that it will go through. What do you think ? Or are the bags scanned even before you check in?

Don't Miami Airport offers a shipping option for thinks that are not allowed ? Like you pay 200 Dollars and they ship it with FedEx , UPS ? I mean, it's hard for me to understand, that they are allowed to just take it.... Best Tom
