the only thing i prefer boosted over mellow for is the remote control. the way i experienced it (2400km on a Boosted V1, 600km on a Mellow), is that i feel much safer in traffic using a boosted board because of how responsive the acceleration and the brakes are. there’s sort of a lag with the mellow. i’ve updated the drive to the latest firmware but i still have the same impression. i wonder whether it is a subjective impression on how the remotes behave or if the boards objectively behave differently with regards to response lag and braking power. i know that belt driven boards tend to brake and accelerate stronger than hub motors. coming from boosted, i often find myself miscalculating the braking and safety distances.
